Now in our third decade, Eugene Matthews has provided masonry and concrete restoration, renovation, and remediation services to owners of institutional, commercial, and industrial properties throughout the greater Midwest area. This masonry project required masonry stabilization at 100% of the exterior facade. Pipe scaffold was erected to access all areas. Inspections were performed alongside the structural engineer. Masonry restoration repairs were performed over a range of ornamental stone work, including stone removal and replacement, dutchman installation, tuckpointing, caulking and related stone patching.

Eugene Matthews Inc. was contracted to remove and replace over 100,000 lineal feet of caulk throughout the entire building facade. This included all window perimeter joints, all glass to metal joints, and finally all of the metal to metal joints. After concrete patching, we then painted the entire 80,000 square feet of building facade to help update and modernize the architectural look and feel of the building. The elastomeric paint selected also serves as a protective and waterproof coating for the concrete facade.
