I worked at RK as a contractor for about three months. I did everything I could for the company and the user base I supported. I came in early worked overtime when it was required as well as used my own vehicle to transport company computers and supplies to the different offices. In early January I was threatened with bodily harm buy a full time co worker.
Without and chance to defend myself I was let go and lost about $4000 worth of income that I normally would have earned had I been allowed to finish out the month. If anyone reading this is considering employment you may want to think twice.

RK is one of, if not the best mechanical engineering firms this side of the Mississippi River! I am a project foreman working out at DIA, at the moment. RK has always made me feel like I matter. They are always ready to reward and promote individuals who possess certain abilities and traits. I Highly recommend submitting your resume if you are interested in pursuing a career in the industry!

Very poor/non existent planning coordination on the most recent project I had worked along side them on. They are non union which signifies low skill level and non existent training for their field workers. It shows. Their company seems to be an all in one company (electric, hvac, steel, carpentry, etc) which also signifies they master in none. That has been very clear in my experience in dealing with them on multiple occasions during my twenty year career.

The competency of the employee, pre-job planning, and written work instructions were not followed prior to starting a job. At the Cadence Union Station in downtown Denver, a RK employee damaged a gas line which was not in the work scope causing the entire building not to have hot water or gas. The question needs to be asked how does damaging gas lines fall under their hired services or show they can work on building systems while keeping them in operations.
They need to assign engineers to conduct the work since their normal employees can't follow work instructions safely without causing significant harm. Not like I really care but below is the email from RK's customer placing blame on them. Sounds like the vendor and the customer probably should get aligned.

We just use them on a water heater for my restaurant they were quickly to respond but didn't do the job right. after a month I finally got the bill invoice and what the driver told me and the invoice is too different amount. the park cost me 3x as much what they quoted me for it. It only a spark ignition module for the water heater a small two spark plug module. I can find it on eBay for only $60 and less now they charge me $439.82. shame on this company
