KUDOS to Old Dominion! We truly could not have hoped for a better experience with Sharon and the entire team at O.D. We purchased a 47 year old, original owner home with 3 fireplaces and 2 chimney structures. We knew we had problems after the first fire when I went outside and found creosote "pillows" covering our entire roof and front/rear lawns. Thankfully, I contacted Sharon, who dispatched Dustin to the house, finding all 3 chimneys were unsafe for use, with the kitchen fireplace and chimney being the worst due to a chimney fire.

This fireplace box had to be demolished and completely rebuilt, and liners installed in all 3 flues. Chimney caps had failed too, so these were rebuilt. The lower level wood burning stove connection to the fireplace did not meet code, another fire/safety hazard. Dustin provided photos of all deficient areas, including the flue interiors, as well as an itemized repair estimate; this certainly gave us peace of mind that the work was actually warranted.

The work was completed with the utmost respect to the home, the property and around our bit more involved scheduling requirements. Sharon could not have been more delightful and accommodating in meeting our needs, updating us every step of the way through the process and making sure our needs were met. They are responsive, they return phone calls, their technician Brad is a nice guy and the lady who answers the phone Sharon is incredibly responsive and thoughtful. We put an offer on a home and paid for Home Inspection, which did not include looking into wood burning stoves. Old Dominion came out and despite the owners testimonies that there were no issues in 20 years, there were about 8000 dollars worth of issues. We appreciate the service and the willingness to rush a report so we could end a bad deal. Report was thorough and they were expedient and professional. Highly recommend them.

If I could I would give Old Dominion Chimney's 10 stars I would! Working with the personnel was fabulous. Everyone I was in contact with was friendly, supportive, knowledgeable and hard working. Their attention to detail was amazing, including a totally clean working area! It was an enjoyable experience from the beginning of the project to the end.
