Aronson's Floor Covering

Their quality is very good. Unfortunately their workplace culture is not. I've bought flooring and rugs from them for three different apartments. They are friendly until you buy. After that, if they make a mistake, they're evasive and hostile. This has happened two out of the three times that I worked with them. This last time I ordered sheet marmoleum for my kitchen and they installed the wrong color.

I know that they were not legally responsible, I was. But the person I ordered it from remembered the correct color. They gave me a reinstallation price that was shockingly high. I found this company Bayridgecarpet.com. the guy's name is Richie. They did the installation perfectly for a fraction of the cost. I will use them in the future.

I've been going to Aronson's for 20 years. They truly are the best. Very professional, very warm and very knowledgeable. I recently had to buy and then buy again the same rug due to a flood in my apt. I couldn't be happier with Adam Amacci who is truly a top salesperson and beyond nice. He helped guide me to an amazing rug and I love it beyond. In addition to Adam I'd like to give a shout out to the installers who really do have a back breaking job.

Both Herbert & Pedro were extremely professional and knew to take their shoes off before entering my apt: Everyone at the store is friendly and willing to do anything. I wish they sold more than floor covering. I'd buy everything from this store if I could. Keep up the great work. It shows. And, it's very appreciated.

I love this place! Great pricing and very friendly staff! My favorite employee was Sean Mc and I believe at one time he was Employee of the Month. Anyways, dont bother shopping around, Aronsons is the only place to go!

I have been buying carpet from Aronson's for more than ten years. The selection is fantastic.equally as important the sales assistance is outstanding. They have a new Empire Collection which allows for really cool individual design. I also love the fact that it is a family owned business. Today everything seems to comes from a mammoth cookie cutter corporation.it is so refreshing to get personal help from real (fabulous) people.

We recently re-carpeted our living room and bedroom. Aronson's helped us choose beautiful and durable carpet for the living room. While they were installing the new living room carpet, the installers cut the old living room carpet to fit our bedroom. The whole Aronson's team, from the sales people to the schedulers to the installers, could not have been more helpful. We recommend them very highly.

Aronson's Floor covering is a rare NYC gem a long standing family based business. My interior designer friends rave about their beautiful selection of floor coverings and their incredible customer service. I agree with all of the above and then some! I recently had my favorite area rug repaired here. Not only did they give me great advice they went above and beyond when I asked them if they could store it for awhile as I had just gotten a puppy when the rug was to be delivered.

No problem they said and did just that keeping it until my dog was housebroken, it was incredible. The repair was perfect and now my apartment has the rug and a house trained cutie! I personally owned a retail store in NYC and recognize the importance of great customer service and a beautiful selection of merchandise. They have everything you need and very transparent. It keeps my work flow moving and it helps me manage my clients better. They helped with my floors in 2002 -- just a one-bedroom condo but they treated me as if I were their biggest customer. 15 years later I bought a new place and was reminded why I loved them the first time.

Came here for a carpet and the customer service was horrible. not only were they rude and unwilling to help, but when they didn't have what we wanted, sent is to WEST ELM for a carpet. this was not what we wanted and we were very clear about that. their ability to understand direction correctly is obviously needing some work. also, carpet selection isn't great either.

The staff is amazing and professional. They have a great selection to choose from and the sales people really take the time to ask what you are looking for and help you find something that really works. I am really indecisive and had been in and out of home depot trying to decide what to do with my apartment and they worked with me for several hours discussing the durability I woudl need as well as what it woudl look like and we found the flooring that worked best for me and I absolutely love it. If you are a new home owner or just want old fashioned customer service definately check this place out.

I have had a great experience over the years with Aronsons. They really know the industry and have the best customer service. The installers are have a lot of experience and are top notch. I think it's a good value for the service and the experience.

I recently went to Aronson's Floorcovering in search of new flooring for my living room. I wasn't sure what I wanted, but knew that my existing flooring needed to be replaced. As I entered the beautiful showroom, I was greeted by a friendly salesperson. He asked me a few questions to help him figure out what product would be best for my room.

I told him the color scheme and then we sat down in the showroom; he offered me some water and then brought over a variety of samples. He suggested the natural products might be the best suited for this room. I didn't understand what he meant by natural products. He then explained each product (sisal/seagrass) in depth and was very knowledgeable of each as well as the maintenance of the item.

I was impressed. He told me if I wanted to know more, Aronson's had natural fiber seminars that I could attend and learn more. I'll have to look at that another time. He had me sold - I thought what a perfect product. And totally not what I expected to purchase. He assisted me in picking out a color and matching binding for the rug. I gave him a deposit for them to come and measure to ensure it would fit my room.

Now I wait for the delivery. I am so excited for my new rug. I had a great experience at Aronson's and highly suggest them for anyone looking for flooring. Their sales staff was professional, friendly and knowledgeable of their products. I would highly go back for my next flooring. There aren't enough stores like Aronson's anymore, they took the time to listen to me and my needs and gave great advice.

I have been an avid Yelper for years and until now have never left a bad review. My tagline is "Yelping what I like." But my experience with Aronson's was so negative that I'd like to spare others. My husband and I went in Aronson's to purchase cork flooring to replaced the carpeting (laid by Aronson's) in our bedroom after hurricane Sandy. Aronson's gave us an estimate, charged a $300 nonrefundable measuring fee (strange since they previously worked in the same room) and then after the measuring, quoted us a higher price.

In addition, they mistakenly suggested we use a type cork which would work in our setting. Like the other reviewer, they would not break down the estimate and reveal what they were charging for materials vs. labor. We decided not to go with Aronson's and found at least two places charging approximately half the price for similar product -- with no charge for measuring or moving furniture (which would have raised the cost even further had we gone with Aronson's). Glitzy showroom, but beware!

Service was great when I was in Aronson's but upon receiving the estimate for flooring I was shocked by the estimate - which was not broken down by square footage, labor, etc. just a lump sum. When I called to ask for an explanation of the extremely high estimate, they were unable or unwilling to break it down for me. I was able to find exactly the same material and the cost and labor was LESS then half of what Aronson's gave us.

I don't mind if a company charges a slight premium but Aronson's did nothing less then price gouge at a shocking extreme. I would look elsewhere before accepting their estimate.
