The Cardi family of construction companies was founded by Antonio B. Cardi, who came to America in 1903 and began his career in construction building railroads in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He quickly rose to the position of foreman and worked successfully in that position until the railroad project was completed.
Tony Cardi was the co-founder of Cardi Corporation and has been its President since 1967, and has charted the growth and success of Cardi Corporation and its affiliates since that time. Tony has also served as the President of the Construction Industries of Rhode Island from 1963-1968 and 1973-1977, was inducted into the Moles in 2012 and has served as Trustee of various Construction Industry Benefit Trust Funds.
