Hollis & Spann has a solid history of performance that stands behind the knowledge, experience, and skills of its Owners, Managers, and Staff. Founded in 1950 as Residential and Commercial Contractors by Robert H. Hollis, Jr. of Montgomery, Alabama and Jerome A. Spann of Dothan, Alabama, the company operated as a partnership on South Alice Street in Dothan until the death of Spann in 1965.

Robert H. Hollis, Jr. of Montgomery, Alabama, along with Jerome Spann, co-founded Residential and Commercial Contractors in 1950. They operated as a partnership on South Alice Street in Dothan, Alabama, until Spann's death in 1965. Hollis then purchased the Spann interest and operated as Robert H. Hollis, Jr., DBA Hollis & Spann, until the company incorporated under the laws of the State of Alabama in 1968.

Hollis & Spann brings extensive experience in multiple brands with the hospitality industry, including to date, more than 50 Marriott projects and over 20 Hilton projects. Marriott's prestigious Opening of the Year award has been awarded to Seven Hollis and Spann constructed hotel projects. We are very knowledgeable about brand requirements and work well with corporate project management teams. Our philosophy-rather exceptional in the hotel world-is to focus not only on construction but also on the hotel opening-attachment-free.
