On Top Roofing was started by Ben Russell and Dave Gebo in 2000. They started with a simple mission, to provide excellent customer service in an industry that wasn't taking care of its customers. On Top Roofing specializes in fabricating and installing standing seam copper and steel roofs. Our metal roofs use standing seam connections and are designed to have no exposed fasteners; keeping your roof watertight. I called the company for a quote on a fairly small repair. They never responded after reviewing the repair. Finally when I got ahold of the owner, they said a complete roof replacement was needed because they could not match the roof color. I had two other roofing companies that were able to match the color. I will not use this company again in the future.

I called On Top Roofing in an emergency. It seemed like I had an ice dam problem and I had dripping from the ceiling. Brandon called back soon and listened to all the details. He then asked a couple of questions and let me know I didn't have an ice dam issue. He told me what to adjust/fix and it's working. Lots of integrity in this situation. I'll use them this summer when I replace the roof

From the first appointment to the last, everyone at On Top Roofing was professional. The bid was received within hours of meeting Dave. The appointment was scheduled and I was told the job would take about 4 days. To my delight the roof was actually completed in ONE long day! Lorenzo and his team work fast and organized. The roof was removed, new one installed and yard cleaned up all in about 12 hours! Jake arrived a few days later to install gutters and did an equally wonderful job! The whole team was wonderful! My new roof and gutters looks fantastic! Thanks to you and your team Dave!

These guys are complete professionals. Courteous, competent, and hard working. When they encountered a serious framing issue which may have frustrated and de-railed another contractor, they were quick to identify options for solving the problem. The problem was solved and I thought we agreed upon a very fair price for the additional work. No price gouging! I now have a beautiful new standing seam metal roof! I would hire them again without hesitation for any roofing work that comes along.

I love my new On Top Roof! On Top Roofing is a top notch roofing company. Brandon was super to work with and the ladies and reps at the office were always cheerful, and super helpful. Decisions on roof type and the color of shingles was easy to make with Brandon's help (especially since my husband passed away a year ago and decisions regarding roof replacement was Greek to me).
Thank you Brandon for all your help in choosing the right roof for my budget and addressing the snow load we experience in the mountains. My home is a jewel of Park City, one hundred years old, registered on the Park City Historical and National Register. My home has also been featured in several national magazines. Brandon helped keep the look of the roof in keeping with all historical requirements.
This was accomplished in spite of the difficulties of a considerably tight space to work on a very busy street. The removal of previous roofs and replacement decking were all accomplished in one day. We were blessed with good weather as well. The entire job took less than a week. On Top also has an electrical department and they addressed a needed repair so that the job was not slowed down.
We had another small problem that was emmediately resolved in 48 hours. Great company. The foreman's were helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. The job completed quickly and efficiently. I love how the new roof blends with my old house. New gutters and paint will be done in August. (I will post new photographs when this is completed). Thank you On Top Roofing for working with me, and thanks to everyone at the office and crew, and a special thanks to Brandon. On Top Roofing was great. We were desperate for a quick fix on a leaky roof at our rental as renters were coming in just a few days. Reached out to On Top and that same day Brandon came out to give us a bid. He was able to find the problem quickly and we were able to get it all patched up in a couple days. I was very impressed with the quick response and overall experience. The photos and text correspondence made it super easy to finalize things even while at work. I would recommend on top to anyone with roofing needs.

When I make a long term purchase, like a 30+ year roof, I want the best product that is built to last. On Top Roofing has built the best roofs in our neighborhood and I am very happy with their high quality roof on my house. First-rate through all stages of the project! We replaced a severely worn asphalt shingle roof with full metal including the fascia. They also installed a new solar panel array. Jeremy and Eric were knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and patient with my (admittedly) many and near-endless questions. Both install crews (roof and solar) were true craftsmen and cut no corners - very tight work.
They were on-time, thorough, and meticulous with their clean-up. Though competitive with their bid, it was not the lowest. They are not trying to be the cheapest but are clearly trying (successfully) to be the best. A roof is too big of an investment to get it wrong - I would choose them again without hesitation.

On Top Roofing (and Brandon in particular) saved us during a nightmare re-roofing debacle = 100% HEROS! I called them cold after talking with four other roofers from Salt Lake. We specified a brand new shingle roof with two large standing seam metal areas with low slope. Other roofers were giving us confusing reasons why we shouldn't or should do the metal. Brandon came on site within two hours, climbed on the roof, took measurements, and communicated with me the entire time via text (my preference in a moment to make fast decisions).
His thorough descriptions of why we could (and should) do the metal on the low slope areas in the PC climate left me confident to cancel on the other builder I'd already given a deposit to (I got all but $100 back! phew), and signed with On Top. They fit our roof in within two weeks, and did a gorgeous job! We love the combination of shingle and metal, and we're now working with them for our metal facia, soffit, gutters and downspouts to match.
The metal was custom crafted in their warehouse in PC, and elevates our modern aesthetic so well. We're so excited for a low maintenance, high-quality roof at a great price (they beat out three of the SLC roofers bids, and was WAY better quality than the least expensive bid I'd gotten). 100% best choice we've made on our remodel so far!
Those old, 1-star reviews are outdated. Maybe those folks worked with a different employee. CALL BRANDON. He's easy to work with, fast to respond, took care of our project, and followed up without our asking.

We had a metal roof installed. The wait was long but the installation was uneventful. Two years after installation and after a heavy snow fall, the snow rails failed and ripped the metal roofing on two different slopes of the roof. The company did not choose to cover this under warranty because they said that it was an "unusual" amount of snow. It cost $20,000 to repair it.
The first repair skipped one section of the roof and had to be rescheduled. It took over two months to schedule the second repair. In my experience, they have been very late in returning calls or responding to getting the repair scheduled. You may be better off with a good shingle roof that does not require snow rails and with a different company that is more concerned about repairing their defective work.

Alright, a little over a year later and I have an electrical problem with the heat tape. I call the guys from On Top. They stand behind their work. BOOM! Problem fixed. No additional charge. They have a customer for life. I would strongly recommend Dave, Casey and the boys to anyone with roofing/gutter/heat tape needs in the Wasatch back. No BS, just a quality job.
