If you are thinking about choosing this "custom" home builder, save your money and select a spec home builder. The quality of their homes are not up to a standard "custom" home builder. In fact, my spec homes were of higher quality. Trying to get warranty work done is a complete joke. The project manager will give every excuse of why something does not qualify for warranty.
For example, there is a two year warranty for HVAC and electrical. I submitted my issues, immediately received a call and was given an excuse for both issues I had. My thermostat will not go below 67 degrees. It did at one time and now it does not. The PM told me that some thermostats are set not to go below a certain temp and that I should not need to set my temp below 67.
Who has the right to tell me that I should not need my temp below that? The other issue (besides all the other problems I had before my one year was up and items were not fixed properly) was my outside ceiling fan. This fan was replaced less than a year ago and it stopped working again. I would think that is an electrical issue. Nope, it's not electrical.
And then the issues with drainage because my yard was not graded properly. They came out to fix it, it's still not draining properly. They will not try to grade and fix again. Not their issue. So, just for the backyard, I have spent close to $3000 to fix the backyard. The front side yard still does not drain, but I can't afford to fix it now. Long story short.terrible company!

Selecting Manuel Builders for the building process of our home has been a pleasurable experience. Manuel Builders is a business located in Lake Charles, Louisiana specializing in the building of homes associated with "turn-key" jobs. Before officially deciding upon a builder, we called numerous times with various questions. The knowledgeable team tackled each inquiry in a timely manner.
From the first day of our process, which is divided into three parts with three different people, we have had staff members that literally go above and beyond in taking care of our every need. The designing of our home was the first step with Kelli. She helped us pick out a plan to best suit our needs and explained everything required of us to begin the process of building. Second, in selections with Kristen, we spent four hours in store, snuggled into cozy chairs viewing samples of all the details such as lights, cabinets, doors, etc. Kristen shared opinions on what would and probably would not look good, and helped me add the final touches to make our home beautiful. Last, we began production with Ben, who has been so helpful in overseeing the building of our home, ensuring everything is done to code and Manuel Builders' standards.
In addition to the service that has made the process so easy, the quality of work makes us even more excited about our decision to go with Manuel. Camelia Homes, a builder also located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, began production on our neighbor's home about a month before us; we have since passed them up in the process while experiencing very few mistakes or errors.
Our project manager Ben is always alert of what is taking place at the project site, checking several times throughout the day, and keeps us in the loop of what to expect each week. We received descriptive lists on pricing made for our home, enlightening us on where and on what our hard- earned money was being spent on. Having a list was important to us as we did not realize the costs of some things and could easily play with our numbers in selections to help determine what was essential and what options were extravagant.
There are so many components in building a home and Manuel Builders broke all those hurdles down making a potentially stressful process simple and easy. We are grateful to have chosen to build our home with Manuel Builders and would strongly recommend them to anyone in the market for building a home!"

my husband and I had manuel builders build our home! although it was a trying time for us manuel builders made us comfortable. they made it easy for us to choose what we wanted and needed! they are truly a team from the office staff to the workers in the field. we would definitely use them if we ever build again and we would definitely recommend them to everyone! even after we moved in and had any issues they were there to help
