Second time I've contracted with Bobson for home updates, they are professional and attentive to detail. I had the porch and walkway replaced this spring, the job required replacement of the foundation. Last fall I had the siding and gutters replaced. The quality of the work was outstanding. Critical: Professionalism My area for an addition was measured 21 X 17 on the back of my house with tearing out 2 walls in a mudroom about 8 feet long each and was verbally told it would be $100,000.00. I said I could buy a cheap house for that price, it was at that time I said we were done. This is the reason for the low rating I gave.

I was very disappointed with all 3 the estimates I received. I was quoted 40,000.00 for porch extension, 37,000.00 for my bathroom and get this 1,500.00 for a handrail going up the steps. I was so glad when that man left my house, wasting my time.

The service representative that came to home an older gentlemen was just unprofessional. When I questioned him about pricing he became defensive. He gave me an inclusion price for several things I was have upgraded and replace. I wanted to know the different price to make an informed decision of what was important and what I could eliminate. I asked how many feet was required for my job he explained this is an average guess and the installers would be more accurate.

I had a problem with that since I would be signing a contract without knowing the exact amount of wood and face board needed to complete the job. That meant I would sign a contract for one amount and late discover there's add charge for measurement that was not included. I can't blame. The representative did not give the best presentation of Bobson Construction

I am a homeowner in Detroit's Sherwood Forest Historic District, and I needed some large columns on my front porch replaced. I hired Bobson to tackle the job, and I was delighted by the quality and professionalism of the service I received. My porch looks as good as I'm sure it did 100 years ago! Thanks Bobson! We have had Bobson out at our house for 4 projects. They have always produced the results they promised. The work is done on time with friendly professional workers. When they leave all of the debris is gone, never a mess left behind. They show concern for your needs and want you to be happy with the work done. We even had the Building Inspector from our city compliment their quality of workmanship. Job well done.

I needed my siding replaced. I had my house up for sale so I needed it done quickly. Bobson Construction got it done quickly and at a reasonable price. Everyone that I talked to there was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely call them if I need anything done at my new home. Update - July 2020 - I had Bobson do a couple of smaller jobs for me recently, and they did a great job.

I hired Bobson Construction to remodel my much needed outdated kitchen. They did an excellent job and were very professional. Whenever I called Rich with a question he always got back to me in a timely manner without ever making me feel I was bothering him. With each step of the project he would always come out to see how that part was coming along and made sure I was satisfied with the job being done. I give Bobson Construction hands up and would do business with them in the near future.

Bobson remodeled my bathroom. The workers were very professional and were at the house at the time they said they would be. Sean performed all of the follow-up as the different stages were complete and answered any questions we had as the project progressed. My wife and I are very happy with the finish project and will contract Bobson to do any projects we need done in the future.

I called Bobson construction to come give me an estimate for a cement porch, new awning and siding for my home and garage. They came out promptly and took their time and explained the work that would need to be done. I am so happy with the work that they did and my house looks beautiful. It looks like a totally different house! There were several different crews that came out to work on the house and all of the guys were so polite and friendly and I was impressed that Richard the owner of the company came out numerous times during the job to make sure everything was going well. I would definitely recommend hiring them again and I know who I will be calling for any future jobs.

Bobson installed new vinyl siding and a new garage door on my garage. Now it looks like a brand new garage and I'm very satisfied with the results. Would not hesitate to recommend Bobson and will keep them in mind for future projects. Service: Remodelling

Bobson replaced my siding that was installed incorrectly by a fly by night operation a few years ago and have since gone out of business. I was very impressed in my interactions with Richard and his crew. He found a way to make the siding install fit within my budget and went above and beyond to ensure it was installed to my specifications. I'm not one to review unless my expectations have been thoroughly exceeded.

I'm happy to report this is one of those cases. I would recommend Bobson for any work you need to get done, wholeheartedly. I am loving my new siding and am confident I don't have to worry about it flying off in a windstorm like my previous siding. Well done! Sincerely, Steve Paruszkiewicz

I made an appointment with Bobson Construction on June 20 to come and give me an estimate for a roof on my home and garage. The representative came to my home and after surveying the home gave me a price that we agreed in order to get the job done. The representative told me he would come to my home to finalize the paperwork as he was going out of town for the weekend.

While waiting for the representative to return, I got a call from the owner of the company. I told the owner that we were interested and was waiting on the rep to come from out of town to get the ball rolling. The owner had the secretary call me and we set up an appointment for July 5 to sign the paperwork. Well, we received a phone call from our original rep stating he could not honor the original price as the price for products had went up.

I was very angry and told him how did products go up in one week and I did not want the new offer. I called the "owner" of the company and he explained to me the same thing and that I was not under contract, so he could not honor the offer. (the rep had written down the price and explanation on a Bobson brochure) This company does not honor its word and I believe the rep offered me one price and the owner would not honor(bait and switch). I am calling the BBB and Lara at the State of Michigan to report poor work ethics from this company. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

So many things went wrong with our experience it will sound like I am making it up. It was a few years ago and I still cannot believe they were so horrible. Every time anyone asks if I have a good contractor referral I give them one and then tell them Do NOT use Bobson. We met with one of the estimators at our home to get an estimate on replacing a large bay window, our garage roof, and replace all the siding on the house.

The price was right so we said yes. One stipulation, I was going to be out of town during a particular week so we asked them not to start during that week. I prefer my wife and children not be alone during this and especially did not want it to happen when I was out of state. Strike one: Not only did they start when I was out of town they sent a sub-contractor in an unmarked truck with men that did not speak any english.

They showed up and just got on the roof without notification or even a hello. My wife had no idea who they were and they couldn't really tell her. Strike two: Roof is done and we thought they would clean up the rather large mess in our drive way in the next day or two. WRONG, while I don't recall the exact time frame anymore I do know it took more than one week.

Strike three: They left enough nails in my back yard next to where my children play and in my front driveway, to fill one and a half large coffee cans. No exaggeration here. NOTE we are at strike three and the large portion of the job hasn't started! I will abbreviate the work on the siding (which ended up looking good with the exeception of the crazy way they trimmed the windows). YOU'RE OUT: The large bay window was replace by a large picture window with sliders on either side.

To be blunt, the window and the workmanship were just horrible, crappy, abysmal. We couldn't slide the window open and they tried to tell us it was due to weather changes. They agreed to come look. They made some adjustments but it was horrible and then went right back to not working. They then brought out a rep from the window company. Short term fix and back to terrible.

We asked for replacement and they couldn't because the window company went out of business (no shock there). We asked for a like kind replacement and got a flat "no". We asked for reimbursement for the window, "no". We tried various fair requests and got rejection. I then spoke with the owner who was just awful. The only reason anything got done was due to my persistence.

They finally agreed to let us buy a window in the same price range (found a great one at lake side window on m59 in Michigan) and Bobson installed it. We of course watched due to our now lack of trust with Bobson. I am a very easy going person and have had many contractors work on several homes for us and never experienced anything so un-professional.

Had a roof done several years ago by these guys. Now the roof looks like it's 40 years old. Shingles all curled up and several leaks starting just a couple years after installation. Neighbors roof was done 20 years ago and looks brand new compared to mine. Spoke to another roofer that told me they didn't put enough vents on the roof. Which explains the tiles curling. Stay away from this company

Poor service after spending $12,000 on my Bobson Roof! Had roof replaced 5 years ago, shingles are lifting. We called Bobson requesting assistance for the problem. The secretary took our name phone number both times stating a service rep would call us back. One week later still no return call. I left yet another message requesting the owner call me back.wow he was just as "professional" stating that insurance would pay if it was leaking and that animals "pulled up the shingles" and yes he would send one of his guys out for a service charge. Mr. Miller was so busy talking at me when I said excuse me and started to speak Mr. miller said "whatever" very professional.right!

We did business with Bobson a number of years ago (2008?), we had to force the replacement of a faulty window because the window company went under. The fascias were not covered with aluminum all the way to the roof line, this was hidden with of gutters. The job took longer than they estimated; the workers (a subcontactor) were nice but spoke very little english which made it difficult to communicate our concerns.

The trash with nails was left in the driveway for 2 weeks. And Bobson did not get any permits. The ray of hope is that they have improved in the last few years, but as you can tell I still feel put-off by their operation. The job was completed.
