Services
A vital aspect of each home built by Jon Huss Custom Homes Inc. is it's extraordinary design. Clients sit down with Jon and his design team to help create a residential construction plan that fits the need of you, your family, and your lifestyle. The designs of our new homes are carefully orchestrated to create an atmosphere where families can relax and enjoy their investment in home construction for a lifetime.
We can make this promise because of our excavation experience and the extra care we take in the building process. Naturally we grade to create a positive drainage away from your home's foundation. But, we also extend gutters and downspouts to carry water out and away from the foundation. Additives mixed with foundation concrete, along with our Lifetime Dry Basement System that we designed, guarantees your basement will not leak. We also use more clear stone at the drain tile and under the basement floor to keep water our of the basement.
At Jon Huss Custom Homes, we know a person's home is a person's life, and everyone is different. This is why we listen to our customers and offer a customized experience. With the help of a personal consultant from the beginning, we will answer every question and guarantee every detail will be perfect in your new home. Building new homes is our passion. Let us share our passion with you and build the home of your dreams.

Worked as a PM for this company for about 5 months until I couldn't take it anymore. Let's see. there is a lot of turnover, no real process, sales will sell you the world and change order you to death, they try and take the cheapest way out when fixing problems, have too many family members running it however they want, don't trust or appreciate their employees, and I haven't really met a happy homeowner.
There is definitely an ego problem going on there. Instead of appreciating the clients, they feel that clients are lucky to get a home from them. I have design experience as well and was working on a set of plans for them on the side while working there. I did several changes getting it just right. I was then told that the project fell through and received no money.
About a month later came across a new project with my plans. They took what I designed and brought it to the lumber yard because they could get a deal if they bought the lumber from them. Talk about a good way to treat your employees.

I am sure they are great builders. The quality of the work on the home next to my home looks good. But the workmen/trades they use are rude. I have Rock Radio and Heavy Metal blasting in my yard from sun up to sunset, no longer a nice meal on the deck, or read a book, even on a Sunday. Polite requests just get met with the volume getting turned up. It is unbearable.

We recently decided to downsize our home. We called Jon Huss builders and met with Katie. What a great experience! She understood our need for less square footage without losing all the nicer features we were used to in a larger custom home. Katie spent time with us getting to know our tastes (both in the show room and a home similar to the one we wanted to build).
She explained the process and assured us she is the one to keep us focused on the final result and the final budget. We never felt pressured to upgrade where it wasn't needed. We were able to meet with her when our schedules allowed, not just the normal showroom hours! She went above and beyond in helping us. We have admired homes built by Jon Huss during our trips to the Parade of Homes for years. The quality of homes is amazing and we would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family in the future.
