Thermally Broken Roof Hatches are designed to provide superior energy efficient in warm or cool climates while allow convenient access to the roof top. Insulated or uninsulated fire rated access doors install in fire rated walls and ceilings. A 2-hour fire rated recessed frame for a trimless appearance and a recessed door for a tile or wallboard insert to match the surrounding walls. A rigid recessed flange provides a trimless appearance in this fire rated access door for drywall applications that can be installed in walls or ceilings.
Recessed access doors are available as a fire-rated or non-rated access door to be installed in walls or ceillings. Karp's KATR-LL is a lead-lined access door version of the KATR access door, used in situations where radiation shielding is required. Karp's DSC-210PL is a recessed access door for plastered surfaces with a 16 gauge steel door which can accommodate 1/2 inch plaster.
