Woods Construction & Interiors was founded in 1951 (as Harper Woods Modernization) by Oswald Pfaffmann and John Friedrich. Operating out of Friedrich's house, the two began the company's now national and international retail fixture contracting operation by converting the checkout counter at an S.S. Kresge dime store.
Woods Construction's dedication to safety and environmental responsibility extends past merely complying with rules and regulations. Company started out great to be a part of, HOWEVER when it was time to go to work as promised after the company meeting AND given a month and DATE he was going back to work and what state he would be going to SUDDENLY get CRICKETS when the time came. my husband was ignored, nobody would answer his emails, his phone calls and was never given his yearly bonus check after working there for 3 years.
We still after 7 months have not heard back from the owner as to why they didnt bring him back but yet have not fired him. Its caused us extreme financial difficulties due to the non communication from the owner and staff members. If you go to work there dont expect a reason if they never call you back to work or let you know you have been let go. it will be a mystery

I cannot recommend this company. I worked with them on the repaint of the Oaks Mall in Gainesville, Florida. Dale Toner was my supervisor. I would classify his management style as 'playground bully.' The quality of their work is mediocre at best. seems to involve hiring a lot of temp workers and letting them do what they want with no direction or supervision. Good luck if you hire these guys.
