Now spanning two generations, Jake Hickson joined his father as a General Contractor after completing his degree in Economics at University of Florida in 2004.
At its very core Hickson Construction is a custom Home Builder, and when we say Custom we mean Custom! Most of our customers come to us with nothing more than an idea. We take these concepts and with the help of one of our designers turn it into your very own unique home plan. When you stop and think about who your builder is, he is someone who manages and facilitates the construction of your home.

Our current economy presents its share of challenges to building a home: supply-chain issues, delays, unexpected changes in availability or cost, but Hickson Construction handled all of these challenges with professionalism and genuine care. Their decades of experience in the field and extensive relationships with quality subs and suppliers shines through the challenges facing the building industry and expectant home owners.

We live in our "dream home" by Hickson Construction. Our home has top quality construction in every way, we moved to New Smyrna beach just for this home and I always say we got the city as a bonus. This family run company couldn't be easier to work with with half their family living in the close knit neighborhood, they put their home where their heart is!
They also love the environment and try to save every tree possible, even building less homes to save our green spaces, who does that? No one! We are very grateful and blessed.

Growing up in New Smyrna Beach, most everyone knows a "Hickson Home" when you see it and some like my husband and myself even dream of building one! Our dream of building a custom home with them hasn't been fulfilled yet BUT that is because we at the spur of the moment last fall had a custom "Hickson" resell fall in our laps within the Florida Days community!
We jumped at the opportunity to list our current house and the rest is history! We are enjoying being a part of this quiet, laidback lifestyle on our dream front porch overlooking the park! We love "coming home" to Florida Days!

We built our first home with HIckson Construction in 2002, the process was very enjoyable. They built the house of our dreams. Communicating what we wanted and seeing the results was a wonderful experience. I'm 2017 we moved into Florida Days our home is so well built, their attention to every detail is incredible. We feel so blessed to have connected with this company. If I ever move they will build my house.

The team at Hickson Construction built us a custom home on our property and did an amazing job! They were in constant communication with us along every step of the way. The quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail is second to none. Our superintendent, JR, was especially great. He would provide constant updates during the building process and resolved any issues that arose immediately. We are so glad we chose Hickson Construction as our home builder.

We built a house with Hickson Construction 2 years ago and we couldn't be happier! With my father, grandfather, and uncle all being General Contractors, I grew up around new construction. Nobody builds a home quite like Hickson, it's really true. From the high level of quality, to the artistry and craftsmanship, Hickson builds a truly unique and timeless home! We HIGHLY recommend.
