Amethyst Construction performs all types of Civil construction and design including, but not limited to: site work, parking lots, sanitary sewer, domestic water, storm sewer, concrete and asphalt paving, concrete structures, clearing and grubbing, demolition, driveways, earthwork, stone, crushed concrete, recycle asphalt, and subdivisions. We are licensed (LA # 15099) by the state of Louisiana in heavy highway and municipal public works, insured and bonded. We own approximately 600 pieces of heavy equipment, asphalt plant, concrete crushing plant, a fleet of dump trucks, and several dirt pits throughout our territory.

Amethyst Construction Inc. was formed in 1984 as a family owned engineering and construction company. We had only eight employees during the first few years. Growth was slow. However, local engineers and developers soon began to rely on our competitive prices and quality workmanship. Since the inception of the company, every owner or engineer that we have worked for would be used as a reference for future work.

Amethyst Construction Inc. utilizes subcontractors for various specialty types of construction on our projects. These subcontractors are chosen based on proven qualifications and competitive pricing. We require all subcontractors to be licensed and insured. All work by our subcontractors are supervised by Amethyst employees to insure that the quality of work meets the highest standards of our industry.
Amethyst Construction Inc. based in West Monroe provides turnkey site development quotations for numerous large and small projects. We assist developers during the design phase to insure that each project fully utilizes the full potential of the site chosen. We include clearing & grubbing, excavation and embankment, drainage and drainage structures, sewer, water, site utilities, curb and gutter, base and paving, sidewalks, concrete footings, striping, irrigation, landscaping, pavement striping, and other required items in our package of work.
