K & P Builders You can write articles, long mission statements, company policies, executive profiles, company awards/distinctions, office locations, shareholder reports, whitepapers, media mentions and other pieces of content that don't fit into a shorter, more succinct space. Articles - Good topics for articles include anything related to your company - recent changes to operations, the latest company softball game - or the industry you're in. General business trends (think national and even international) are great article fodder, too.

Renovations and installation require paperwork and permits. As certified contractors, we know what papers need to be filed and what permits need to be obtained. Every house needs some repairs at some point. From wood rot to storm damage, home repairs need to be handled in such a way that they do not cover up related problems.

Recently closed on a new build from K&P. Builder was hesitant in responses revolving around Radon, a chemical linked to lung cancer, which was found to be at nearly 20x over what's considered "safe". The builder attempted to fix the solution by keeping new testing results from us and placing their own venting system in the house. We came to find out that nothing they did was up to state code or standards which meant that the radon wasn't being displaced properly + the house wouldn't pass inspection if we were to sell.

We paid out of pocket to have a real system put into our home by a state certified company who specializes in these types of systems. K&P is building homes in counties where this chemical is known to be found in higher quantities and they have no experience with how to add proper mitigation systems. With no thanks to K&P we are no longer living in a home with health hazards. PSA to buyers: Get every test done and hold your builders accountable for their mistakes.

I give K&P Builders a 4 star rating. I purchased the Kentmorr model in Nov 1999 in Marlboro Manor. The house was built structurally sound. I only had one very small hair line crack from settlement since 1999 (it's now 2018). Love the ability to customize house. My 4 bedroom 3 full bath home with 2 fireplaces now has 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and 3 fireplaces.

The optional rough-ins made it easy to upgrade after settlement. I am a former Maryland real estate agency with 13+ years of experience. One thing I know, you have to monitor all the work done to your new home build from the ground breaking to settlement no matter the builder. Remember in Maryland it's about volume and speed. Spend some time with the site manager.

You can avoid a lot of issues post settlement. Now to tell you about why I rated the 4 stars and not 5. I did have problems with poor siding installation (insurance corrected after extremely high winds of 100 mph) and short nail used to install roof (replaced after 18 years). Thank you K&P I'm still a satisfied customer

It has been 3 years after the closing. The house is OK, but I am still very disappointed about my driveway. It is supposed to be 2 car driveway, but the builders narrowed it down on the entrance. We have very difficult time to getting in and out.

Not a great builder. Please watch out! There is no structural warranty. You buy it and after that, if your house falls apart in one year it is your own problem.

We bought our house over 25 years ago from this builder. My husband and I were in our mid-20s and this was a first time buying for us. We went in all excited and wearing blinders. First of all, some of the things that were in the model & drawing in our home was different from the home they delivered to us. The pantry was about half the size we thought we were buying.

We were told the "artist illustration" is not a guarantee of the home; the blueprint is. The floors were extremely squeaky, and still are to this day. Finally we are changing the carpet in our home, and we find that the some of the floor studs are 18", sometimes larger spaced, from each other. At the very most, they should be 16" apart. Hence, very weak depressions in the floor and squeaking. I am surprised they passed inspection. We also realized after we moved in some very just minimum design/structural issues. I would never buy from this builder again.

Love my home my only problem is that their repair team is extremely slow when it comes to fixing things the didn't correctly build
