From 1949 to 1979, the 250-acre Tinker Farms property operated as a working family farm raising cattle and Yorkshire pigs with several fields dedicated to corn and soybean, providing feed for the animals. Then from 1979 through 1989, the farm was re-purposed as a landscape and tree farm until finally, in 1989, the property was subdivided into lots for the development of a single family home community, featuring custom built houses.
