Will never use or recommend them again. We hired Nikles to build this home for my grandmother back in 2002 After 16 years without wood stove heat, As I know a wood-burning stove can cause some of these issues, all tape joints came apart on walls, found sheetrock seams with screws were not inset into drywall and drywall movement causing cracking, drywall tap was not installed with enough joint compound to adhere to the walls.
Tape joints peeling up throughout the home. we found some drywall install with nails and others with screws, Example one seam had nails on one side and screws on the other. The front bay window was installed but never sealed with any flashing or silicone, after removing molding to replace the saturated Sheetrock, we had been able to see between the outside wall and window frame to the front yard. the wall was filled with black mold, under the rug was black mold, and the front door was rusted next to the window. since I sealed the window with silicon, the bottom plate on the window has been drying out and cracking.
I understand that homes need repair over time, But the workmanship was very poor and not of a quality you would expect of a custom home builder of more than 40 years. My Last home was built in the 1950s and I had never seen any of this with that home. So if you would like a home that will last you I suggest you find another builder.
