The founder of our company, Troy Bloxom, has an extensive construction background. With over 40 years of experience in the residential and commercial construction arenas. He has knowledge of conventional framing, pre-cast concrete, log homes, SIPS (structural insulated foam panels) and steel construction. He currently performs inspections on homes and commercial buildings, for buyers, sellers, lenders, and governmental agencies. American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) where he is certified as an ACI inspector (ASHI Certified Inspector).

Choosing a home inspection company is an important decision for every home buyer. A thorough, pre-purchase inspection of a house can be your best defense against unwanted surprises after you move into your new home. When a sample or samples are taken for microbial growth the process typically is to take air or contact samples, or in some cases both. These are obtained from the suspect areas as well as a control sample at the exterior of the property. The control sample gives us a baseline as to what is "ambient" in the air at that time, so that it can be determined what additionally the indoor samples may have and can be compared to what is present everywhere.When air samples are taken, we use an air pump that pulls a calibrated volume of air across a membrane of an "Airocell" canister that attracts any airborne particles.
Troy is an approved real estate instructor with the State of Alaska. With their extensive background they can teach classes for Real Estate Continuing Education credits in several topics. Troy is a Level II Certified Thermographer. By using our infrared camera we can locate fluctuations in temperatures to identify heat loss and cold intrusion. This can save hours of work and reduce costs when you need to determine why and where you are losing heat. The camera can also help identify areas of moisture intrusion.

Knowledgeable! We got a presale inspection so we could be ready to sell. This was super helpful. Troy really knows his stuff. We are using him again for the house we are going to buy. Truly the inspection is the only thing we have that protects us as buyers. I prefer someone who is capable of finding all the wrongs with the house so we can be aware of, negotiate if need be, or walk away if we have to. Its a big purchase so why not hire the best? 2 thumbs up!

Super knowledgeable and thorough. Troy was incredibly friendly. Actually explained how certain aspects of the home worked and made sure we understood everything during the inspection. Re-inspection: Was able to quickly schedule us to meet our closing date. Again, incredibly friendly and professional. Thoroughly verified requested fixes and noted ones that hadn't been completed at the time of re-inspection. Troy made sure we were 100% knowledgeable about our new home. Troy was early at inspection house. Walked my wife and me through the house explaining what was being inspected and what exactly was any safety issue he came across. Troy also got models and serial numbers for all appliances for registration in national recall registry. Professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. This was our 3rd home inspection with home plus and we have not been disappointed. Booking was quick, his relationship with the many realtors was definitely an advantage. We called on Monday, inspection was Tuesday, and we had the report in hand Wednesday.

He included us in the experience as well showing us his concerns and giving us a piece of mind of what we are getting ourselves into when it came to our possible fixer upper.
