Let me start by saying I would recommend them without any hesitation. The Regional Reconstruction Manager, Mike Massa is awesome. His prompt followup on estimates, assigning project teams, answering questions, meeting our schedules, and having a team on assigned dates was exceptional. I also was referred to Lawton Construction for an Insurance repair.

Our house is in Truckee and we had damage from December 2021 storms. Our project required urgent work and repairs, during a time of year up here with the coldest month of the year, icey roads, 8+ ft of snow around property. It was a non issue for Lawton Construction to service us and repair the property. Lawton is a professional and organized company.

Professional prepared quotes, docusign for contracts, change orders. They also corresponded directly to insurance to get approvals for work beyond the original scope as we discovered more damage during repairs. I have already referred them to 3 neighbors for work. I am a difficult and demanding client with daily emails and calls, yet they surpassed my expectations,

My insurance company used Contractor Connection to assign Lawton when the big October 2021 storm hit Sacramento and resulted in a leak through my roof. The initial crew that did the remediation, inspection, and tarping of the roof was professional and decent. Unfortunately, all subsequent interactions were disappointing. High staff turnover and poor internal communication resulted in me getting mixed messages from multiple people about the mitigation work to be done on the roof.

I ended up wasting several weeks waiting for Lawton to send out another inspector or another crew, only to be told that they wouldn't do the roofing work needed to fix the problem. What is worst, they are trying to charge me and my insurance company for equipment, including a dehumidifier, that was never used! Although there are some good people working for this company, the lack of organization and professionalism appears to result in outright fraud.

This team is amazing! We went through some delays due to COVID and the sheer volume of other disasters locally, but they stuck with us, and did a top notch job on everything from windows and sliders to stucco repair from a fire -- even re-doing work that needed an extra finishing touch to get things just right on a very tricky installation, and coordinating the estimates for work we needed to vend out. Our project managers were the best -- Chase and Johnny, thank you!

Ever since our original project manager Adam went out on medical leave it has been impossible moving forward with our repairs. (It had been over a month with no contact before I reached out and found out he was on leave) They told me that my new project manager would be mike and he'd reach out to me the following Monday. Shocker, he never did.

So I called my insurance agent. They reached out and received nothing back. We've had part of our flooring ripped up for months. Myself and our insurance company have had trouble receiving any sort of communication back from this company. Save yourself the stress and choose someone else for your repairs. I'd like to note that Adam was great but every other aspect of working with this company is worth the 1 star review!

My bathroom was incredibly damaged after a huge bathroom leak (floors, walls and cabinets). It was as stressful and as horrible as I thought this situation would be. David and his crew took the stress off my shoulders and did a great job with cleaning up the mess and fixing the issue, and remodeling. I had them do it all and all I can say is that I highly recommend Lawton Construction & Restoration because I did not have to look for different companies to clean, fix and restore the issue.

I am 55 years old and this is one of the best customer experiences of my life! From start to finish, Lawton Construction & Restoration kept their word. They said that they are professionals and know what they are doing when it comes to any type of mold. They were in contact with me through the whole process of restoring the walls in my bathroom after mold had set in too deep.

The crew from Lawton Construction and Restoration that worked on our house was very dependable; their communication skills were clear and informative. We had a tree fall in our backyard during the storms, blocking the entrance to our shed, and the minute we called them, they took our information and arrived to clear the tree. I would recommend Lawton Construction & Restoration to anyone. I'm amazed at how quickly they completed the job within the time frame they promised.

Absolutely excellent work with restoring our walls and ceilings due to water damage. Staff was supportive in helping us navigate the insurance claim process. We had a leak in our upstairs shower valve that also affected our downstairs bathroom and necessitated a new shower stall. The communication between us, our insurance company and Lawton was smooth. The rebuild/remodel work done by Lawton's Sergio and Ramon, facilitated by Robert was flawless and they were all super nice. Definitely recommended.

Lawton has been a great team of pros helping us to resolve issues from the fire we had. Chase Benson, contractor, has been especially helpful! Martha Hernandez has been great too-leading the contents packing and cleaning team. We know our items are safe! Thank you so much.

We had a water issue in the house. These guys come out super fast. Yes, our holidays are somewhat ruined, but it's always helpful to know they care. Kristy was very responsive and knew what was needed. I might be bios but the best company because they quickly respond to emergencies; I called multiple recommended companies, but these guys were my choice. If you never want your calls returned and to be left in limbo with potential mold in your walls for weeks on end.this is the company for you. I'm really at a loss with this company and their complete lack of costumer service. My insurance company booked them and communication has been nonexistent. I have only been called once in three weeks by the project coordinator Kristen to talk about the damage at the very beginning, the only other time she has called regardless of how many previous messages I have left, is to tell me that the field guys were going to be late (scheduled for 2-4pm arrival but they didn't arrive until 7:30pm).

I have left countless messages in an attempt to figure out the progress of my house or at least a timeline and all of my messages have been left unanswered. And I mean in 3 weeks not a single message has been returned by this person. My roof was covered and no one has called back about the water damage removal or to see if mold is in the walls. I keep getting told that they are very busy but I'm failing to see how their failure to know how to accept the appropriate number of claims/jobs for their company should impact costumer service.

I have had other water damage claims in the past and the companies communicated constantly and gave timelines so I know from personal experience that this company is abnormally bad. Just don't use them, I'm starting to question if this company is a scam.

Worst ambulance chasing restoration company, useless and difficult to get a hold of. They basically start a job and then will ghost you for several weeks. I now have mold in my house that I had to take care of from another company. Stay far away from these idiots

Our house flooded and our Lawton pack up team was amazing! Lead Maria Camacho Crew: Noel G, Jonathan V Vicky Luis P Saul H Maria kept the communication going with us and her crew, especially during a stressful time for us. She listened if we had any issues and gave us options. The crew worked efficiently and were organized and tidy! Best part they were all friendly and compassionate! Thank you Maria and team!

We had an unwelcome sleepy driver crashed into our home while having coffee early on a Sunday morning. The situation became all the more frustrating because the adjuster minimized the damage & the sleepy driver had the CA minimum liability Insurance. However, Travis became my project manager & assured me the work would be done. Ryan was sent to do our job & was kind, considerate, prompt, courteous & he does excellent work.

Both Travis & Ryan made an unpleasant experience much more tolerable. It's a lot easier to advocate for yourself when you work with a cohesive team. Thank you Travis & Ryan. Jackie

The crew was friendly and had great work ethic. Robert constantly followed up and kept me updated. Osmel and brother were so nice and did a great job. From clean up to repair. I would recommend.

Lawton was recommended by our insurance when our house flooded due to a water line break. They first came out in March 2020 for the estimate. They ran numbers and everything appeared very promising. That's when everything went downhill. Their project manager Mike comes off as energetic and personable at first but once the job is locked up he's impossible to get hold of.

He never responds to text or emails and all calls go unanswered unless you occasionally call from a different phone number. A job that should have taken several months went on for 9 months! The work promised was not even complete. The funds from the insurance were used up on very suspicious up-charges. ( Go over your invoice with a fine tooth comb!) We were left to finish two bathrooms on our own, including installing the toilets, vanities, and plumbing.

All the work is subcontracted out to the lowest bidder (i.e. drywall, floors, kitchen etc) The workmanship is extremely sloppy and there is zero accountability because they just blame the subcontractors they hired. I can go on for days about the poor job they did but what people need to really be aware of is to watch their invoice. We we forced to question every line because some of these charges were made up. (Move refrigerator back into place : $100.

When in actuality the refrigerator didn't even fit the the spot framed.) The final invoice included about $15,000 of work that was not even done. Calls to Mike to try and make sense of the bill went unanswered. It wasn't until they started calling to collect their money when we finally got hold of Mike. We basically told them that we weren't paying until Mike justified the bill and cc'd the company owner in all the emails. Magically he finally responded.

In the end, this job started in March 2020 and dragged on til January 2021 with lots of the work left unfinished. This company has zero integrity. From what I've read, they were starting to go under as a company and in a last ditch effort took on every job possible. From the looks of all the recent reviews, all those jobs suffered. This was one of the most stressful things we've even been through. We hope to save you the time, heartaches and tears shed over this company. Do your research and go with anyone else.

Could have killed me! My rental home suffered a roof leak that came through the ceiling of the home. I reported it to my landlord who then contacted her homeowners insurance. They subcontract with Lawton Construction who came out to assess the leak. The two men who came completely covered the HVAC system located on the roof with plastic wrap. For the next several days the home became colder and colder and I was smelling propane intermittently.

I suffered from severe headaches daily not understanding why. I realized that despite the thermostat saying the heater was working I was getting no heat. I turned the system off and reported it to my landlord. The company came out that day and reported back to the homeowner that the system was working and there was no problem and no smell. I continued to get no heat and smell propane, so I continued the conversation with my landlord about the concern.

Another 2 days went by and her insurance company sent out a HVAC technician. It tuns out that the HVAC systems heating component runs off a propane ignition system. When they placed plastic wrap around the ignition part they cut off the flame and air supply. So for a week I ran the thermostat, and the HVAC pushed cold air and propane through my home causing me to feel ill.

This was during the month of February as well, so my home was below 60 degrees during this time. I am extremely upset, the company risked my health and safety. Not only could it have possibly caused an explosion if I had lit something, but high levels off inhaled propane can cause asphyxiation and even death. This company practiced extreme negligence and had no right to alter a mechanism they were not trained to work on. I only thank God I am the only one living in the home and that no children had to suffer through the week as I did.

Yesterday (Christmas morning) my business was broken into. While the store windows had been broken out and stood wide open, available to more pillagers, I found your company on Google to do an emergency board up service. To my surprise Erika answered the phone around 6am and made record timing arrangements to have the store boarded up by 9am. I am highly impressed with her professionalism, how your company was available even on Christmas morning and the incredible job your team did cleaning up the glass and boarding up the store. Huge thanks to Erika!

Horrible! The company needs to be managed properly. Started work on my roof months ago and never came back! They won't return calls either. Now it's raining and you left me with a hole in my roof. I wish I could use profanities here. Next letter to Contractors State License Board. Was a State Farm Recommendation too. If it were my business, I'd be firing people

Absolutely hands-down the worst company I've ever worked with. They took months and months and months to complete one task and then found out the person was high on drugs and it was installed improperly. Their workers going through my personal belongings caught on camera. They don't tell you when they are going to show up. The lead manager was very inappropriate with his words and when told the company how inappropriate they did nothing.

The owner of the company even came out to my house to see the improper way that things were fixed in my bathroom. They did nothing to compensate me for my time but instead nickeled and dime my insurance company for every dollar they could leave me with very little to be able to fix it. I will tell everybody I possibly know to never work with this company.

If you have insurance you are welcome to fire them at any time if they are not satisfying your needs but just know if you fire them it will take them months to get a final invoice to your insurance company. Please by any means do not go with this company you were deeply regret it. The owner of the company personally told me himself that they take on way too many jobs and that their managers become overwhelmed with the amount of work that they have to do and not enough time to do it.

The water line to our fridge burst while we were at work and flooded our house for many hours. Our home is older, built in the late 50's. We had original hardwood floors and I was devastated when we came home to find the house full of water. I contacted AAA and was connected with Lawton Construction. They sent the mitigation team out promptly to begin the drying process.

The crew and Travis were a pleasure to work with. The drying equipment is loud, but necessary to ensure mold and further damage doesn't take place. Once the drying process was complete I met with Mike, he walked me through what to expect and reviewed what would be needed to get our house back to normal. He listened to what I wanted and let me know my options.

He worked with the insurance company to make this an easy process for me. We also opted to have some additional work done on our own dime that we had been wanting for years; since the house would be under construction anyway. I was very sad to learn that our original hardwood floors would have to be replaced; however the new floors turned out so amazing and I am beyond pleased. Mario the floor contractor and his brother were also a pleasure to work with.

They allowed me to have input and make the new floors my own. When you are displaced from your home all you want is to be back in your own space as quickly as possible. Construction is a process and doesn't always go to plan to no fault of the contractor. There is no way to know what it will take until the construction begins and they are able to get behind the walls or under the flooring.

Sometimes it takes longer than expected, but the end result is so worth it. Trust me patience is not a virtue I posses, but you can't rush perfection! All of the crew were polite and respectful and did a wonderful job. My house looks better than it ever has. A big thank you to Mike, as well as the entire staff and crew at Lawton! If I ever need work done on the house again they will be my first call.

I am very thankful to be working with Mike Massa from Lawton on the repairs of my home. I had works with another contractor that tried to cut corners and the county inspection would not pass. Mike took over the project and dialed everything in. Today my inspection passed and project is now complete! Thank you Lawton, great team and awesome customer service
