Family owned and operated since 1914, Ghilotti Construction Company has over 100 years of engineering experience and a family tradition of hard work and dependability. The story of Ghilotti Construction Company is the story of the American Dream. A stone mason by trade, our founding grandfather, James Ghilotti, left his native Italy to come seeking his fortune in California.
Transporting stones all over the north bay by horse and cart, his back-breaking hard work and business philosophy paid off as his company grew from small paving jobs to building bridges and highways.

The history of Ghilotti Construction Company (GCC) is more than a classic American success story. It is a tribute to the courage of a young man emigrating from Italy willing to take risks and explore opportunities thousands of miles from home with a vision to do whatever it takes to seek a new life and provide for his family.
These words from the founder are the brick and mortar that have formed the foundation of Ghilotti Construction Company. The company contributes to the community in several ways. First, there are in-kind donations of capital improvements - such as grading and paving parking lots - and second, the commitment of many employees hours to more than two dozen North Bay nonprofit organizations and causes. While education is a priority, so are children's charities, food banks and other nonprofits that directly benefit families.
Ghilotti Construction is known for their century old reputation for reliability and delivering quality. When it comes to public works projects, the company is often prequalified for bidding due to its bonding and safety record. Our past clients will agree that we deliver a quality service in a timely and cost effective manner.

Very slow with their construction and doesn't keep it equal when letting cars go. And let's one side go and makes the other sit for over 15 minutes at a time and the other go and let all the cars go while the other side gets less than a quarter of the line go through. And their flaggers are very rude and disrespectful and don't know what they are doing. This is the 5th time this week this exact thing has happened and we moved for about 10 seconds and our line is already stopped and the other line is moving.

Cannot wait for Ghilotti BROS to leave their site off Lakeville in Petaluma! Eye sore to our beautiful new apartments and obnoxious workers super early or super late. Can't wait for the property to be purchased by maybe a company that cares about their surroundings respects their neighbors. I feel bad for Ghilotti the good company don't get them confused!

If you see this company come into your neighborhood to do work, get ready to be on the phone fighting with their project manager and the people who contracted them to do the work. They have been in there Banana Belt of sausalito for months doing work for Marin Municipal Water District, another entity only interested in profit and oblivious to customer service.
Complete lack of planning, no critical path, sporadic road closures that make it impossible to get anywhere, damage to property and local vehicles, loud foul mouthed yelling all day among the workers have ruined my summer and that of all my neighbors.

About a year ago a careless driver from Ghilotti misjudged his moving into my lane, too close, nowhere for me to go and he caused over $4,000 worth of damage to my car- the drag was that Ghilotti didn't just own up right away even tho driver admitted immediately to he in the wrong! They fought it- and they Lost! Scumbags! MW

I don't even know where to begin with these guys, I guess if your rich and anyone who needs construction done, with also a bunch of money has to use them. These guys tore up a huge main road where I live, littered the road with huge golf ball sized pieces of concrete so that any car driving, particularly the one in front of me went through said gravel a piece of it flew up and hit my windshield cracking the thing in half.
When I called their head of claims and safety I was told she would investigate the site (investigate the 20 plus trucks, paving equipment on the road for 2 weeks). A week late I was sent a letter stating Ghilotti was not at fault. I'm lost. But I'm also not in construction so what do I know. I know this company stinks.

Ghilotti Brothers are truly good neighbors. Davis Chapel CME Church is a church that has experience significant misfortunes in the past 10 years. (see www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW_DFKrEDIQ). But Ghilotti Bros are a ray of sunshine in dismal times. Concrete blocks and a man hole were dumped on the property of Davis Chapel which had to be removed at cost to the church. Ghilotti Brothers arrived before 8am to remove the debris without charge.
After 1 hour of strategic labor, Grady, Ricky, and Miguel rendered the lot free of the debris. Davis Chapel no longer worried about being fined by the Contra Consta County nor the cost associated with the removal and disposal of the unslightly concerete debris. If Ghilotti is working in your neighborhood, don't forget to be a good neighbor and say hello.
