Critter-Ridder is locally owned and operated for over 14 yrs here in the Columbia area. We trap and remove unwanted guests as well as repair the damage they caused and clean up the mess that they leave. All trapping services are "live trapping", we take every precaution possible to assure the safety of the animals we remove.
We offer a free inspection to be able to provide a detailed list of actual cost instead of a general quote. Clean Up - Rodent droppings and soiled attic insulation can be more than just a nuisance. Many wild animals carry diseases and parasites that can be transmitted to humans. Wild animals left unattended can quickly cause a great deal of damage to your attic, crawlspace and basement resulting in chewed wires, fires, matted and damaged insulation, holes in heating and cooling ducts or other problems.
Squirrels are very outgoing in the spring and summer time. This is when the offspring go out to explore and then the parents begin looking for locations to begin nesting and unfortunately sometimes that is in our attics. Opossums are very common in residential areas. They look to find left overs and get into trash and can also make its way under your home and start chewing on wires.
Critter- Ridder is a wonderful company to deal with. All of the staff is dedicated to solving your critter problems. I HAD bats and squirrels living in my attic and a opossum underneath my house. A full house of critters. Within no time, the staff eliminated all of them and installed a system to prevent any further entries.

I called Critter-Ridder when I repeatedly heard loud gnawing sounds near my skylights. I thought I had animals in my attic. Jason Brabham came out, did an inspection of the attic and a walk around outside. He quickly discovered that some squirrels were chewing on the metal frame around the skylights to sharpen their teeth. He pointed out other issues (tree branches touching the roof, birdfeeder close to the house) that could contribute to rodent problems. No charge.

Jason was very polite and honest in describing what he found (or lack thereof - thank goodness for us) after he searched our crawl space for unwanted creatures. He could have easily said he found something because I sure am not going under the house to verify! He provided good news of no sightings and no evidence of activity and left his information in the event we may need him in the future.
It was a relief to have an honest person come out and not try to sell me something or some service I didn't need. I would definitely recommend him and his business and while I hope I don't need him again, I wouldn't hesitate to call him for his services.

I called Critter Ridder because we had some type of rodent in our attic. The company owner Jason B. came to our home and did an inspection. He told us our attic was infested with squirrels, mice and rats. He told us he would remove the pests and seal off any areas where they were getting into the house and would charge us over $4,000! As part of the effort to seal off any possible entry points, he planned to replace all our crawl space vents screens (which were all in perfect condition with no signs of damage) as well as the outside dryer vent.
I asked him how a rodent could possibly get into the attic from the dyer vent and his reply was "well, they could get into the dryer". Clearly he was only interested in charging as much money as possible and doing work that was completely unnecessary. This guy is a crook. Go elsewhere. We ultimately called All Things Wild. They did the same job for $400.not $4,000!. Turned out we had TWO squirrels in the attic.
That was it. All Things Wild even sealed up the area where the squirrels were getting in through the soffit and even matched the paint perfectly where it meets the hardi-plank siding.

After a month of hearing something scratching around from what sounded like the attic we called Critter Ridder. We were impressed with Jason Brabham when he came to our house. He arrived right on time and was easy to talk to. Jason wanted to know in detail what problems we were experiencing, where, how long, and when. He then made a detailed survey of the attic.
He also went under the crawl space and around the foundation for possible points of entry. He told us all the conditions he found but assured us we had no uninvited little guests and we would not be in need of his services. Critter Riddeer and Jason in particular will definitely be our first call if the need ever arises again.

Critter Ridder, LLC is hands down by far the best and only company in this industry that you should use. Don't even bother wasting time calling any other company. Jason and his team have done work for me and my family for over twenty years and not only will you get the best prices in town from these guys and girls, but they are professionals and they know what they are doing.
They aren't just some pop up company that says "hey I like snakes, squirrels, rats, mice, birds and bats" so let's charge people to remove them from their homes. I had a black snake in my condo and Jason B. responded and even though the snake had already left, he was very candid with his advice and thoroughly checked everything and no sign of the snake. I really appreciated his knowledge of the situation and it put me at ease. I highly recommend this company as you will be met with an honest and fair evaluation of your problem.

Critter Ridder did an excellent job in my attic. While no mice were found, the team did come back several times to check traps, clean and remove all previous traces of mice. Excellent communication and flexibility during the two weeks they were working on my attic & sealing up the roof and outside of my house. Highly recommend using Critter Ridder!

I'm not sure there's enough room for me to post my praises for Jason and his team. No one wants unwanted guests, but I had rats using my crawl space for their nighttime spot. They had even ventured to my attic. After a thorough check and estimate, I knew I needed their help even though the cost seemed high. I say "seemed high", because after several days of Storm, Dillon and DJ doing work at my house, I knew it was worth every dollar.
The guys were extremely thorough with their work.but it was their awesome attitude and their goal to do quality work that impressed me. They answered my questions, they kept me informed with what they were doing, and again I can't stress how thorough they were. So, if you have any sort of "critter" issue, call these guys. I have peace of mind knowing that the only guests at my house going forward will be the ones I personally invite!
