We purchased a Rochester Home from Pine Ridge Homes. We were very pleased with their ability to customize all we wished for. It is wonderful to be able to pick out the options for cabinets, hardware, trim, flooring, siding, etc at the beginning of the home ordering process rather than multiple trips to the home improvement store during the building process!
We were very happy with the quality of the construction of the home. Our finished house does not look like a mobile home. I appreciated the quality brand name components like Delta Faucets, Corning Shingles, etc. We were able to upgrade the cabinets, go to a 9' ceiling, choose wood trim and solid wood doors. We would recommend Rochester homes and feel our home will hold up to many years of family use. Thanks!

Hello All, I wanted to provide an update to the comment left by Tara Taylor. This is Tara's husband, Dan Taylor. I want to acknowledge that we were frustrated with some issues with the new home. Most of the issues were cosmetic, and the Rob Carlson promptly sent folks out to repair the issues. Buying a new house often comes with very high expectations due to the fact we often feel that "new" should be "perfect".
This standard is a bit unrealistic for any type of new construction project. However, the one big issue was the heating and cooling of the house. We built this house back in 2015, and it was a point of frustration. In the summer the upstairs was very hot, and in the winter it was almost impossible to get it up to a comfortable temperature. After a few comments from other service technicians stating that the furnace/AC units was undersized, we decided to call Rob in February 2022 to get his input.
The following week, Rob came out to the house with the owner of Edge Mechanical of Peru and they did a full inspection of the unit/set-up. Rob then followed up the next week and let me know that they agreed that the furnace/AC was small and that they would be installing a secondary furnace, duct work, and AC to control the temperature upstairs. NO CHARGE!
I was not expecting this, and cannot express how grateful we are for them standing behind their work and making things right! It has been a long time since the house was built, and I am very pleased that they were willing to go to this level to ensure we were taken care of. This action does say a lot about their genuine care for the customer's ongoing satisfaction.
The 2-person crew from Edge was able to complete the installation in 3-days and they were so professional throughout the project. My wife made a very big point to say how courteous and friendly they were during the whole installation. I don't know much about installing this kind of equipment, but I think it looks excellent considering they were adding to an existing system.
In addition, it works excellent. Both upstairs and downstairs is perfect. Attached are some pictures of the work they did for us. A huge THANK YOU to Rob and the folks at Edge Mechanical for taking care of this for us! Dan Taylor

My wife and I worked with the fine people of Pine Ridge Builders in Vandalia, Illinois. Though the Covid crisis had an effect on the process, each and every question, concern, detail, and issue was addressed by the builders. We love our new home and find ourselves wondering, even in the middle of cold winter nights, if the furnace will run more than once or twice, as the house is so well insulated and constructed. Watching the house being placed on our basement was a visual testament to the quality construction.

I very much enjoy my Rochester home. Some of its special feature are the large master bedroom walk-in closet, the walk-in shower, the wonderful walk-in pantry (which my daughter-in-law says I could dance in), and the living room fire place. It seems to be very well made and I have not had any major issues with it. It is my special retirement oasis.

Quality components, workmanship and ability to customize. We did a custom 3 box ranch. Floor plan is similar to the Roosevelt with our little custom tweaks. Love the 9 foot sidewalls, covered porch, 9/12 roof pitch and look of 2 small dormers on front. Really great curb appeal! Experience was GREAT and we could not be more happy with our forever home.

I represent the builder and we sell Rochester Homes. A lot goes into a home including the foundation, on site furnace and central air, garage, well, septic, etc. Rochester pairs well with our clients as far as customizing our clients homes to their needs. If we have a aging client, we can accommodate wider doors, walk in showers, grab bars, etc. The kitchen is the heart of the home so cabinets, islands, appliance prep can all be customized to our clients wants and needs. Rochester is the perfect fit for our clients for their dream home to be a reality.

We love how you allowed us to make a custom plan from your standard Allentown layout with all the options offered to create our own customized and furnished home. Placing the HVAC system in the crawl space gave us more storage space in the utility room. With the insulation quality; our furnace averages running about once an hour and on sunny days; it doesn't run at all. We love it.

We love our new home. The only thing that we had any issues with was the refrigerator when we first purchased the home. It was a Kenmore and we had nothing but issues with it. Rochester Homes, Inc. took care of it and arranged for us to have a Samsung, after jumping through many hoops to get it. Scott at Rochester is the greatest!
