Fish Builders represents a unique fusion of old-world craftsmanship and new-school knowledge. We are located in Salida, at the south end of the Arkansas River Valley in south-central Colorado. We have delivered residential and small commercial projects, as well as additions and structural modifications, for over a decade. Fish Builders is owned and operated by Greg Follet. Greg grew up in Wisconsin, working construction jobs from an early age. The search for adventure and continued education led him to Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where Greg developed a heavy addiction to mountain living and earned a degree in Construction Management in 1993.
How do you embark upon building a new home or take on the daunting task of a remodel? The answers are as varied and complex as the projects themselves. Helping you move from conception to completion is an area of expertise most builders only give lip service to. But at Fish we value customer communication as a vital component of a successful project.
More and more companies are advertising themselves as green, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to weed out the "pretenders" from the "contenders." We do our best at Fish Builders to keep up on these products and the companies that produce them, and we can help you make decisions on the products you put into and use in your home.
This was a very challenging project, on which we worked very hard with the homeowners to design a space that was both functional and also utilized the existing space within the structure. The result is a unique but elegant structure that increased the square footage by about 50% without increasing the footprint.

Greg and his amazing crew built a beautiful custom home for us south of Poncha Pass. Because the home sits in an aspen grove on a creek, the construction presented many challenges for Fish Builders. All issues were met with amazing skill. The quality and professionalism was superb and it was so easy to work with Greg and all his staff.
