We specialize in the construction of custom decks. We will customize your ideas -- or ours -- to fit your needs. We provide quality work using quality materials like Cox premium lumber for the majority of our projects. It is a dry-treated lumber that results in wood that has had normal shrinkage occur BEFORE it reaches the lumber yard-not after construction.
We love building our customers custom gazebos, decks, sunrooms, and more. And if you want to add a little more flair to your project, we can talk with you about adding some accessories like a stairway, spiral stairway, and even wooden benches throughout your property. For each project we take on, our team truly puts their heart and soul into each job.

A trellis is a framework of light wooden bars that can be put to many different uses, including supporting climbing plants and flowers.

Decked out of the triad was recommended to me as the best decking company in the area, but was warned they were "a little pricey". I decided to get a quote anyways and found that they were equal or even less than all of the other quotes I received from other companies. 2020 threw us all a curveball though and wood shortages pushed the time frame back.
Once they began though, they worked quickly to build a deck that is even better than I had imagined. They were polite, accommodating, and communicative. Best price, best quality, and super professional. Extremely happy with our decision to use them.

Decked Out of the Triad replaced an aging deck at my home. Their quote included what others consider extras like sealing and aluminum spindles. From start to finish Steve and Matt and the rest of the crew where great. The deck is more sturdy and athletically pleasing than the one it replaced. There was one MINOR cosmetic issue I struggled with bringing to their attention.
It was resolved with the attitude of 'you paid good money, you should be satisfied.' It was taken care of without even a hint of anything other than customer service. I would not hesitate to call them again.

The deck build itself was of decent quality and built as expected. As part of my deck build some siding had to be temporarily removed. This siding was never replaced. The flashing behind the deck was also installed incorrectly and the post holes were not filled in. After inquiring about the issues, I was told someone would return to make repairs. I was again left waiting with no repairs made and an incomplete product.
After a large rain storm that resulted in flooding. My basement was flooded due to the open space left by these repairs not being made. Steve came by my house and only then made the repairs. When asked about repairing the damages to my basement, steve told me "I didnt see any damage." This made it clear that he refused to be responsible for any of his work if there was an issue.
I was left to deal with the thousands of dollars worth of damage myself. In the process of talking to contractors in the area to make the repairs, i learned that Decked out has a very bad reputation and it is not uncommon for them to be hired to fix Decked outs mistakes. I would caution anyone thinking about hiring this company. You may end up with a decent product, but if there is a mistake made, Steve will not uphold his end.

Contacted Decked Out of the Triad for some work we are wanting around our house regarding a screened-in porch and deck. The owner answered my initial phone call and asked me to text him pictures of my property to his cell phone. I should have known then that he didn't want to waste his time seeing the property in person for a potential new client.
I texted him the pictures as he asked with no response back - only a read receipt so I know he received the pictures. Exactly one week later, I texted him again and asked when we could expect a quote or someone to come by. Once again, no response - only a read receipt. Waited another 5 days and told him to not bother responding since it's been almost 2 weeks with no word from him.
I let him know he lost our business and I would let my neighbors know how he treats his potential clients. Absolutely unprofessional and nonresponsive. I don't care how busy he is. We have 3 other companies scheduled to come out and give us quotes, and they set a date on my first phone call with them - a good professional company would have done the same.

Steve and his crew are awesome! Great people doing great work. We started out wanting a deck, then a screen porch. After meeting with Steve and looking at his designs, we went forward with a 3-season room, complete with fireplace. The finished product was beyond our expectations! If you want the "wow" factor, go with Decked out! Steve and his crew will make your dreams come true!

The deck turned out beautiful, but there are continuing issues with craftsmanship and Steve does not respond to my emails. He is very laissez fair about the whole process. He told us our deck would be finished by the end of March and in June they were still fixing issues. I repeatedly sent him messages about water leakage into the screened portion, because of a downspout issue, which I was told would be fixed each day and after five days they finally came and put up some plastic over the windows and it was another, 3-4 days before the downspout issue was fixed. Because of the delayed response, Steve had to replace a portion of the interior flooring. I cannot recommend this company.
