Alternative Construction & Environmental Solutions, Inc. was founded in 1999 by Dan Troutman and Mark Hartz. This partnership combined expertise in numerous areas of Environmental and Construction Consulting. ACES has grown to include a full and part time staff of twenty-two professionals. In 2015, Cliff Hampton joined the partnership bringing several years of experience from military and major corporation EHS. Our firm consists of different specialties. ACES regularly provides a wide range of environmental and safety consulting services.
Services
Regulations for asbestos, as they relate to renovations, demolitions and managing in place, can be confusing and overlapping depending on which State or government entity has jurisdiction. EPA, OSHA, NESHAP, AHERA and many other acronyms for Federal Regulations can all come into play. This does not even begin to address State and local jurisdiction requirements.
ACES provides a variety of services relating to lead. One of our most popular services involves identifying the presence of lead-containing coatings and lead-based paint testing. This is most frequently accomplished via X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) with our hand-held instrument. This non-destructive device can collect a high volume of readings over a short period of time and provides a wealth of data to our clients.
The National Safety Council reports that companies who invest in the safety and health of their workers through safety and training programs see a return on their investment. At ACES, we believe this statement is 100% correct! This return is shown in the work being performed more efficiently, through an increase in worker retention and presents a lower risk of OSHA complaints and citations.
For many years, the staff at ACES has provided construction management services for local projects, out of town projects and international projects. Our staff has over 125 years of applicable experience. These projects have ranged from $5,000.00 to $32,000,000.00 in size and from a few days to two years in duration.
