Jeff Peifer founded JPs Contracting in 1992 on the same principles that we still uphold today, almost three decades and thousands of construction projects later: to maintain a client-centered approach to construction while delivering the highest quality craftmanship. Our mission is to deliver superior service for our clients, to perform construction projects on time and on budget, and to keep safety at the forefront for our employees and subcontractors. Our office staff, project managers, and estimators work diligently day-in and day-out from our office in Castle Shannon.
Services
I began my relationship with JPs Contracting five years ago when I opened my first franchise Pure Barre Mt. Lebanon and again in 2017 when I opened Drybar Pittsburgh. Jeff is extremely easy to work with and takes the time to discuss all aspects of the project before construction begins and keeps you updated with progress reports.
The Pre-Construction processes are absolutely essential to the success of a construction project. JPs Contracting's goal in the Pre-Construction phase of a renovation or new build is to effectively lay the groundwork for the project and to anticipate and address roadblocks before they arise. In this Pre-Construction phase, we thoroughly review all construction drawings and specifications, we conduct site surveys, we consult with our network of subcontractors, we prepare construction estimates with transparent pricing, we present potential cost savings options, and we put together accurate project schedules to accommodate our client's needs.
Once we've finished all of our Pre-Construction processes like submitting a construction estimate, putting together a construction schedule, and more, and are officially awarded a new build or renovation project, we begin the Construction Management phase of our work. In this phase we oversee and coordinate all aspects of construction from beginning to end.
Because we have decades of experience in the construction industry under our belt, we have the expertise to execute high-quality construction while managing costs and staying on schedule. As the General Contractor, we are responsible for providing all of the material, labor, equipment and services necessary for the construction of the project.

JP's has done a great job in several commercial projects and businesses that my family has built. The two things most contractors miss out on are Communication Skills and Follow Up. If something is wrong after a few months after job completion, they will ensure it is fixed. Same day call backs are also critical
