I called North Twin Builders for a quote on new doors and windows. I was told there was a long wait for customers' jobs; however, that had been the case with EVERY contractor I had contacted (due to shortages, shipment delays, etc). Nevertheless, John Volkman came out to the house the very next day to look things over! I had about six windows that did not open and a broken storm door, which were most pressing. John examined both functional and nonfunctional windows and doors.

He advised me that our windows and doors, although 20 years old, still had at least 10-20 years left of use because of their condition and aluminum cladding. As for the storm door, John told me how to repair it (sounded pretty easy!) He suggested I have the nonfunctional windows serviced, rather than replaced, at a CONSIDERABLE cost savings. John contacted the window company, which had been sold to Sierra Pacific in 2020, to service the windows. Unfortunately, they refused to service the windows (avoid Sierra Pacific for your windows as the company does not honor the very business they purchased!) Next, John sent me information about where to order replacement parts to repair the windows. Frankly, after watching that company's (gowindowgo.com) videos about how to install jamb liners, I am fairly sure we can do that ourselves once the parts arrive. So, while North Twin didn't do any "work" for me, the owner was EXTREMELY HELPFUL and TOTALLY HONEST. Plus, we saved MANY THOUSANDS of dollars on things that can be repaired instead of replaced. I will not hesitate to contact North Twin Builders for our future construction needs and I highly recommend the company!

North Twin Builders is a reputable and professional contractor. We are happy to have found them and plan to use them for all future remodeling needs. They came to our rescue and fixed our roof when another "contractor" didn't do the job. We hope to use them soon to expand and remodel our home. They do excellent work and at a fair price. The floor joists and sub-floors of our 1964 cottage were rotting. We were faced with either a tear down, sale or remodel. We favored the location and certain aspects of our cottage. North Twin guided us through an extensive restoration, remodel and expansion. The experience was great and we could not be happier.

When we decided to renovate our fifty - year old cottage, we chose North Twin Builders and that was the best decision that we could have made. John and his staff were outstanding in helping us with the planning, making many suggestions about what we could and couldn't do, and giving us cost estimates. They broke the project down into phases, and actually were able to do the roofing, siding, and a porch addition in the Winter, which was more convenient for us.

We were concerned about doing a project long distance, but John and his crew were excellent in providing progress updates, pictures, and suggestions for improvements. We could not be happier with the end result.

We recently remodeled our kitchen, which also included a new hickory wood floor throughout the kitchen and family room area in our Eagle River, Wisconsin home. We chose John Volkmann and his team at North Twin Builders (NTB), and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. We went in with an idea of what we wanted to do with the kitchen, but ended up with a much better design than we ever thought possible due to the creativity John's team brought to the table. John coordinated and managed all aspects of the project keeping it moving forward and finishing on time.

He allowed us to work with all of his sub-contractors and we couldn't be happier with their expertise, and their work. Everyone at NTB, John, Rae Ann and Jolyn went out of their way to make sure we were happy with the project. After the project was completed John followed up to make sure everything down to the last detail met our expectations leaving no loose ends.

We selected North Twin Builders to construct an addition to our small 1940's vintage cottage on a lake in Northern Wisconsin. We were most concerned with maintaining the historic feeling of the interior spaces and matching the addition to the existing structure. We could not have been happier with the result. John Volkmann and his crew were accommodating, flexible, creative, and very professional in carrying out the project. Their workmanship was outstanding.
