Bay Area Homes was wonderful to work with when buying our manufactured home. They were very helpful from the ordering, to the delivery and set up of our new home. They were very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. I would recommend Bay Area Homes to anyone looking to buy a manufactured home.

Horrible fraudulent company. Will play you until you put the money down. Then they refuse to be even remotely professional or courteous. The homes come so unfinished you are FAR better off doing stick built. They will tell you all the work is your responsibility. They do not honor any contract (and there's is very sneaky) nor any warranties. They cannot even install boards in a professional manner. They are absolutely familiar with every game they can play. Totally a complete ripoff and huge huge waste of hard earned money. Do not use these people. Ever.

This company is owned by a total LIAR. They do not keep their own contract, totally lie to get your money. Totally leave you with a nightmare instead of a new home. You WILL pay thousands and thousands more to finish your "new" home. They will say how some of their customers were so terrible but it is because THEY are. They ARE ONLY AFTER YOUR MONEY.
Their contract and handbook is a HUGE JOKE ON THE BUYER! They honor NOTHING. They are unprofessional and money grabbing liars. They pretended to come and do work but they made MASSIVE messes they left me to clean. The house is still not done after over SIXTY DAYS since delivery. They damaged a ton throughout the house and fixed NOTHING. I paid in full (they DEMAND this without letting you EVER SEE what you are buying). They refused to deliver the house for over a month because I wanted to see it before I paid in full. These people are the absolute LOWEST SCUM of the earth.

This company completely screwed over my friend who is a nurse who's worked so hard to save up for her dream cabin to become a reality! And after this past year, it was time, until they turned it into a nightmare still waiting on her home! They literally denied her a pre-inspection, left her high and dry WITHOUT HER HOUSE last minute after months and months of planning, prepping, and building!
They are dishonest and I'm disgusted they are in business making a living off of treating people the way they do. screwing you over to make their $$. Just be warned your "house" and everything literally may end up $200,000 over budget because of them. My advise, don't risk it and don't give them your business.

Stopped today and was greeted with a "by appointment only" sign. Frustrating since I am not from the area. Obviously, they are not in a hurry to sell homes. Secondly, the man on the phone told me to take a virtual tour on their website and look at prices. Really? That's what you recommend to people wanting to view a home? I was there to look at one model, and had questions on alot of things, so a virtual tour is pointless.
I prefer to do things "the old fashioned" way, like actually speak to a human being. Then he tells me that he's getting ready for a closing and doesn't have time for me. Are you the only employee? I will take my business elsewhere.

Looked at the website.said you could only see the inside of the homes with an appointment. Called to get an appointment. receptionist stated that due to Covid-19.they would only schedule an appointment to see the homes if you were already working with them, had land and a budget with them. She stated they had to clean and disinfect after showing the homes. Said they do alot of their sales virtually. Well, I certainly wouldn't recommend this business if you can't even see the inside of the homes before deciding to work with them.
We drove out anyway to at least look at the exterior and through the windows. Not much to see, except alot of bug carcasses on the floors that were supposed to have been CLEANED homes. Anyway.this company lost our business as we found another company in which a very nice salesman showed us all the homes we wanted to see, in and out, at their lot.he also took the time to answer any and all questions we had about modular homes and pricing options. Definitely do not recommend Bay Area Homes.

We had gone to two other dealers before we went to Bay Area Homes. We wanted certain things in the house because of allergies and the other two dealers couldn't do what we wanted in the house. When we met with Rick he said we could have what we wanted in the house and he even suggested a few things to make the home even more efficient than it already was.
We dealt with mostly Rick and Meg from start to finish, they were very helpful and friendly when we bought the house. Rick got all the permits and even did all contracting for us for a small fee which we didn't mind because all we had to worry about then was the actual move. They exceeded our expectations and we even moved in on time even when the weather was being uncooperative. Rick did what was necessary so we could move in on time and then they finished up the garage, breezeway and decks while we were living in the house with no problems.
If we need something fixed we just call Meg and she gets it taken care of quickly and efficiently. The service people we've dealt with are nice and friendly for the couple of times they've had to come to the house. If we were to get another house we would go back to Bay Area Homes with no problem.

So.we contacted Bay Area Homes via there website. I was answered rather quickly with an email from the owner assuring me a Mitch would be in contact on the following Monday. Monday came and got no response. I reached out to the owner directly again about information and was assured someone would be in contact. Finally I got a what I would call a form letter regarding a home they had forsake.
I had not inquired about anything specific i just wanted to talk but instead got a form letter. I responded literally 20 min later to the form letter with a simple question one that would have taken 30 sec to respond to and got absolutely no response. 5 days later I get another form letter response. If you looking for help on any project find someone who has the professional curiosity to respond its clearly not how they do business.

From the first time we contacted Bay Area Homes over the phone the owner (Rick) was very helpful, when we personaly went to their location we met and dealt with a very helpful and fun to work with salesman (Mitch). Now that we are in our wonderful home from Bay Area we have had only a couple minor fixes that needed to be done and the service coordinator (Meg) has gone above and beyond to take care of our needs.
Also the setting crew did awesome job with our house. Prier to Going to Bay Area we went to another modular home builder to the north west of Bay Area homes and had pour service with the sales department. I would recommend Bay Area to any of my Family and Friends.

I am thankful for the home manufacturer stepping up where Bay Area lacked in customer service skills. I have never spent so much money to be treated so poorly. The homes they sell are great quality it's just the service that Bay Area provides that leaves a sour taste in your mouth when it is all said and done. Their team is always sunshine and smiles when you go in to ask questions and order your home.
But once they receive your money you are put on a shelf to be dealt with when they see fit. And then met with dripping condescension and zero customer service in the site/placement process. You will hear in your first meetings with Bay Area the stories of past customers that were explained as ridiculous but after going thru the process you will discover that those past customers were only looking to get what they were promised/owed and then you too will become one of those ridiculous customers for them to use as a story for the future.
The only thing that stopped me from pulling the plug on this entire project was their subcontractor Road King Excavating. Who worked as an excellent buffer between idiocy and the actual project.
