My disappointed rating is based solely on my customer service experience during the estimate process. I've been into the shop and have seen pictures of their beautiful remodeling jobs, and I'm sure they would have done a five star job on my kitchen had we gone through with the deal. My story. I had Maverick come out to quote me on a small kitchen remodel (new granite counters, tile backsplash, and new sink and faucet). BJ was delightful when he came to my home.
He seemed on board with my project and told me that I could expect an emailed estimate soon. We even discussed some potential calendar dates to get started. No estimate after a few days, so I called for a status. Was told they'd have it to me by the beginning of the following week. Still nothing come the following Tuesday so I called again. At this point I was told that my job was too small for them as they don't handle anything under $10-12K.
This was not the impression I received when BJ came to my house, so I asked Kasie to please speak with the owner and clarify if they would be able to do my job. I received a follow up call this morning, and it was explained to me that they could not accommodate my small job at this time for business/logistical reasons. I understand this decision from a business perspective, but I am disappointed that it took a week and a half to turn me down.
They wasted my time and did not effectively communicate throughout their decision making process. In my opinion, the owner should have been able to tell me from the very beginning that my job was not within the scope of work that Maverick handles. Also, customer service skills need improvement because I was made to feel that I was unworthy for not having a five figure budget.
I recognize that this was probably not their intention to make me feel this way, but it could have been handled much better from their end. We all work hard for our money, and any remodeling job is a big deal to the person getting it done. Customer service and communication should not lack just because I'm only spending a few thousand dollars. Do not call on Maverick if your job is not a large one. It will be a waste of your time. If you have a big budget for a big job, I'm sure Maverick will do beautiful work for you.

Wonderful service from BJ and his whole team. Completed a large remodel project for us. They actually finished a week early, stayed on budget and everything turned out great. All of the people that worked on my house were excellent craftsman. The design services offered in their showroom were a huge help too. Very personalized attention.

I would highly recommend BJ and his team. We flooded with Hurricane Harvey and needless to say we needed help with repairs. Maverick was recommended by several people. I called expecting them to be too busy to help us, but they were here quickly helping with the clean-out. BJ came out immediately and helped talk us through the process of dry-out and rebuild.
There was never any pressure to go with them, just a willingness to get us dry. We decided to go with Maverick for the whole remodel. We wanted to live in our home and BJ figured a way to help us keep the kitchen till the last minute of the remodel so we were able to continue eating at home. It made life so much more bearable to at least still have the ability to cook at home.
Of coarse, since we had to tear-out the whole downstairs, we remodeled the kitchen and master bathroom. Maverick 's shop has a large design area and it was great to have one place to do all my shopping for the new design. Maverick's team was very professional and did a great job. You know you are in good hands, when all his team has worked exclusively for BJ for many years.
They have pride in their work, and does it show in the finished product. The Hurricane was a horrible event that many have had to deal with, I am just thankful that Maverick is available to help people deal with the devastation in a caring, compassionate, and professional manner!

What a Beautiful showroom! I love a place that has so much to offer! I think Maverick Remodeling's advantage is the Desiging Women doing all the design work! & BJ really knows how to make it all happen. Thanks for making our home so Beautiful! 25 days ago Robbie from Maverick came to do a bid on our home for a kitchen and bathroom remodel. We never received any correspondence from Maverick during this 25 day waiting period. I Called them today and I was informed that they were too busy provide a bid. The lady on the phone said that she had five more to do before she would get to me and it would be couple more days at best.
She also listed a litany of excuses about why they couldn't send a bid any sooner. Honestly if they don't have time to do a bid; they don't have time to do the work! I am giving this place a one star review based solely on my customer service experience. I cannot attest to the quality of their work. We never got that far. I understand everybody has been overwhelmed by Harvey.
Our house was damaged during Harvey too. This is the only place that has been unable to provide a bid in a reasonable amount of time. We will be spending our $40,000 elsewhere.

In one word "outstanding", was my experience with Mavrick Remodeling - from BJ, Kasie and office staff to the onsite construction workers. Everyone was very professional and took pride in MY project. I would recommend them highly to tackle any construction project. I could not be happier with my knew space! In fact, I am ready for the next project with Mavrick Remodeling as soon as possible. As an investor in properties over time, I have worked with many rehab companies and have experienced a variety of types of General Contractors and I must say this has been one of the most professional and communicative experiences I have had in a long time. Everything was detailed as to the specifics of the project that my wife and I required in this remodel.
The design team and the people who helped coach us in choosing the materials and interior design were so informative and educated that it was a lot less painful than what I anticipated for a $250,000 remodel. Mr. Stampley and his staff passed Carl Sewell in the areas of "Under Promise" and "Over Deliver". What a great completed project and I highly recommend this Clear Lake area "Renovation Specialist" and besides the interior and exterior our kitchen has been the talk of every dinner we have hosted. Great Company. D

Me being a Construction owner would highly recommend Maverick Remodeling. They helped me out tremendously with all my phone calls & color choices from 350 miles away. I have lived in this home for 32 years & my bathrooms look brand new & just like out of a magazine. I can not wait until they remodel my Kitchen. Go Team Maverick! Great people B.J. & Kaysie
