On Wednesday, November 24, 2021 I was following a Blessing Construction gravel truck south of Kearney, NE when the truck began dropping gravel stones on the highway. We attempted to avoid the stones bouncing on the road but several hit my vehicle and one hit and cracked my windshield. I took video of the truck without his tarp covering the bed, and pictures of the damage to my vehicle.
I've spoken to Paul twice and emailed with Patty, but the company is claiming the stones were "kicked off the road by the truck tires" which is completely false. My wife and I watched the stones bouncing out from the bed of the truck. The owner, Ron, refuses to speak with me on the phone and will only meet with me in person, which is not possible because I live in Colorado and his company is in Kearney, Nebraska.
The office woman, Patty, just states that it is company policy that they will not replace damaged windshields. The name of this company implies a certain Biblical and ethical standard, which is obviously not upheld in dealing with damage done by their company vehicles. As a Pastor and Christian, it is disheartening when people or companies use their religious beliefs to influence people and then when there is a issue, they abrogate their responsibilities.

These guys have been doing construction on the road right in front our house for a while now. I'm eager to see the finished product but my son will be super sad to see them go. He's 2 and a half and just LOVES anything trucks. Especially construction equipment. The guys have been so super nice and go out of their way to show kindness. They always let me know if the water will be turned off. I've never been more impressed with the respectfulness of the men on this crew. Thank you for being awesome.
