Bob Piva Roofing

We have a large, single-story ranch house in Valley Center, CA. Bob Piva Roofing just completed replacing our roof. I was attracted to Piva because they have been in business a long time, and they are a family owned business. Brian Cahey was the point of contact for the sale and the project. Brian spent a lot of time helping us along the way, and he was responsive during the installation process.

The thing I really liked was that Piva has its own employees who really seemed to know what they were doing, which is reassuring. Many thanks to Brian and to Bob Piva Roofing.

We have used Piva Roofing on 3 of our properties. The first property was a condo complex, a complete roof replacement. And Added skylights in 4 of the penthouse units It was a major job, came out perfect! No more leaks! It was done in a timely manor! 2nd and 3rd houses were all roof repairs, and again it was done in a timely manor. They have added 2 skylights as well. If you have a leak they will be on it quickly! I would highly recommend Bob and his crew. They are all very nice, trustworthy and very professional!

We had our roof installed by Bob Piva just about 20 years ago. he oversaw installation and price was very reasonable and the work was professional. Fast forward to the recent heavy rains when I noticed a tiny leak around the vent in the garage during the major downpour. The leak wasn't major but noticeable and you could tell it just stared to leak because there was no rotting in the area.

Anyway It's been so long I didn't think to contact Bob about it initially I had someone else out and they wanted to change what I thought wasn't reasonable 400. I thought more about it and remember Bob and his team did the original roof so I gave them a call. He and his two sons showed up today and patched the vent where it looked like the weld job on vent from manufacturer in a tiny spot had broke.

He did it at NO cost said it was still under warranty I wasn't expecting that at all. I just have to say they take pride in their work and it really shows; he has taught his sons the trade and I could tell by the way they communicated that they really care about doing a good job and making sure customer is happy. With that attitude it's no wonder they have been in business for going on three generations. Great work guys and I thank you very much and hope this help someone else decide on Piva for their roofing job!

We are very pleased with the job Bob Piva did on our roof. We had a major leak after the most recent batch of heavy rains and needed it scheduled STAT. Brian was communicative and helped facilitate communication with our neighbor with which we share one wall. The work was scheduled quickly and done well, at what I thought was a fair price.

Bob Piva replaced our 25 yo cement tile roof approximately 10 years ago. They did an excellent and professional job replacing our large (5000 sq ft single story home + garage+ large skylight covered patio). with a US Tile roof. Work was done on time and cost was reasonable. Of 4 bids they were within 10% of the lowest. Since then we have had them come out three times, twice for a tiny flap of torch down than came loose in a large high water flow valley (poorly designed by previous owner) and once because, we thought our complex patio skylight flashing was leaking, yet the leak was from a cracked skylight installed by another company.

All three times they were super-responsive and quickly remedied the roofing issue. They were also kind enough to cover the cracked skylight to stop it from leaking until repaired 4 weeks later though it was not their responsibility. Brian and his team are great to deal and delivery a very high quality product at a fair price. Their workers and responsive, very pleasant and professional, and careful. We highly recommend them.

We had Bob Piva roofing do our complete roof back in 2004 and they did an excellent job. We recently had water leaking after the heavy rains and we called the company. The supervisor Marco sent 2 men out within 24 hours to assess the problem. They promptly fixed it. We highly recommend this company as being reliable and doing quality work.

Using Bob Piva again. Our first experience was wonderful. Bob came out, assessed the situation, gave us a reasonable quote and a start date. The job was done as promised, on time and per quote. The second time was equally great. We developed a leak above our kitchen window during heavy rainfall and it was having a negative affect on our drywall. We called the office and Bob Piva came out the next day and assessed the situation, gave us a quote and said that due to the heavy rain falls in the area he was running about 2 to 3 weeks out on repairs.

As promised, a crew of three did come out and were very efficient, and cared enough about my driveway apron to the point that they placed cardboard under the truck to prevent oil from reaching the surface. I hope that my roof will last a while, but if it doesn't and it leaks somewhere else, I won't hesitate to call Bob Piva Roofing again.

I just had my whole upper roof (over 1000 sqft) replaced by Bob Piva Roofing. It all went smoothly, finished on schedule, and came out as promised. I have a flat roof, which was tar and gravel and prone to leaks. Piva Roofing replaced it with a double torched down surface, which to me it is more functional and easy to maintain. Keith Sievers and Manuel brothers did a fantastic job of removing my old roof and installing the new one. Manuel has many years of experience in torched down roof installations and, after seeing his work, I can attest to his expertise. Piva Roofing is not inexpensive, but I am very happy with the quality of their work. Brian Cahey, the project comptroller, and Keith Sievers, the project superintendent, both are experts in the roofing business.

I would like to thank them all (Brian, Keith, Manuel and his two brothers), and Donna who would politely help me when I called the Piva office, for a job well done. If you need your roof replaced, specially flat roof, I'd highly recommend these guys.

I really wonder who is writing the bad reviews. I am a very picky customer and I don't trust contractors (have had many bad experiences in the past). I have had tile roofing problems on a number of previous homes (new construction defects mostly), as such I am pretty well read on roofing, code, best practices, etc. I chose Bob Piva Roofing because I did not want some fly-by-night contractor who would be using a different business name in a year or two and who's warranties would be worthless (like probably some of the inexperienced contractors who came by on a web service referral to give me a quote).

Since Bob Piva has been in business since the 1960s and I believe the supervisor has been with them since 1983, I felt more comfortable trusting their work and knowing they should be around if something were to leak or a warranty issue were to arise. My job was a huge undertaking as I wanted all existing mission tile pulled and all sheathing replaced with low-e sheathing-this meant pulling 6 lb tiles and moving them around multiple times to complete the re-roof.

The job also entailed pulling flat roof sections with torch-down roofing and replacing the sheathing underneath and then installing new torch-down. There was also a significant amount of bad starter board and fascia board that needed replacement and they have a full time framer to do this work. In addition I wanted to access the eaves with sheathing off to install insulation baffles from the top (I have a very low pitch roof with limited attic access).

I also wanted a couple of new flashings installed so I could properly vent my range hood and bathroom exhaust fan. In a nutshell they did a stellar job and I could not be more pleased with the results. The workmanship is excellent (believe me I checked everything as the work was proceeding), the site was kept very clean, and the workers were courteous.

At times they had two lift trucks all day and a crew of seven or so working all day. Everything was done to code or better and they even painted all the new wood and any existing fascia that now showed unpainted or different color. They weren't the absolute cheapest bid I had but they weren't way off either. All their workers are employees so you don't have to worry about someone getting hurt and suing you either.

They work regular workdays and not weekends which also tells me that they treat their employees well. They even brought in a porta-potty on a trailer for the crew, Sometimes you get what you pay for. This time I paid a bit more and got a lot of value for money well spend. Good job and I will definitely recommend Bob Piva roofing to others! BTW, this is a legitimate post-I am a home owner and chose Bob Piva roofing based upon my research and my comfort factor after discussing the work with the PM.

While investigating the cost of putting new rain gutters on our house we discovered our roof was bad and didn't have much life left on it. I knew immediately who to call for a quote. Bob Piva Roofing! Brian Cahey came out and gave us a great quote. We signed the contract that day. Throughout the whole process the crew was professional and clean. On the second day of the project Escondido got an unprecedented amount of rain (almost 2 inches).

I was nervous because I didn't have shingles. But the crew had sealed the roof with waterproof paper and we didn't have any problems. They also repaired/replaced sections of rotted facia board and trim. I expected this to cost so much more than our original quote but the extra cost was minimal and looks fantastic. We are happy with our new roof. This company is wonderful. I would recommend them to everyone who needs a new roof.

I have had Bob Piva roofing in the back of my mind for several years. One of my neighbors had their roof replaced about 4 years ago and it was a stunning roof. I asked the owner who did your roof, and was told Bob Piva. At that time, we weren't ready for a roof replacement. 2019 has been a wetter than usual few months. We haven't had any leaks, but we had a 22 year old roof, that was in need of replacement.

The icing on the cake, was I saw a coupon for Bob Piva roofing and knew it was time. Brian came out to estimate the job and it was started right away. We did have to deal with a few sprinkles that made the job take longer, but we are extremely happy with their work. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

My experiences with Bob Piva Roofing have been great! I have a rental home that needed some leak repairs, and had a crack in the skylight. They came right out and gave me estimate to fix everything and repaired the skylight without having to replace it! The top pane was cracked but the inner pane was still fine. So they caulked it, and saved me from having to get it replaced, for now.

The rains came and neither the roof nor the skylight have leaked at all. I am very happy with their honesty, and the quality of work! I would definitely recommend this company!

Excellent service. When we had a leak in our roof -- installed by Bob Piva for the previous house-owner -- the owner came out immediately. Even though the problem was due to us (poorly-maintained trees had blocked a vent and caused the leak), he looked at the almost-expired 20-year warranty and sent two guys to fix it for free. Bob Piva roofing replaced my roof about 15 years ago. It's been rock solid, no leaks at all since (despite having 3 large skylights). I frequently have neighbors ask me who did my roof as their contractors were unable to get that much life out of their repair jobs. Just got another call today, so I thought I'd post this to let people know my experience with Piva roofing.

Piva came out promptly when I called about a leak that developed after the first heavy rainfall in Rancho Bernardo. They scheduled a repair, and there was another big rainfall immediately. They came out, made the repair, and we have had no problems since. They did a good job matching the 20 year old roof that they had installed originally. I am in the process of calling them back for another roof repair, elsewhere. Very happy with Piva.
