We have been using Chicago Handyman for years. Dan and Vincent were punctual, educated and had clear communication regarding any concerns we had. They also got things done in a timely fashion, no lolly gagging here! We had work done in the West Loop and West town. I would recommend them to my friends and family. I had a unique situation with a huge old air conditioner installed into my window frame I wanted removed. Vincent did a great job getting it out, lifting it through a window, and carrying it down 3 flights of stairs. That thing was HEAVY! The job was tough but he worked quickly and the final bill came in less than the quote. Service:General repairs

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Chicago Handyman came out and repainted a wall in my West Loop condo and mounted a coat rack. The technicians were fast, efficient, and friendly. This work turned out very, very well for a competitive price. We have used Chicago Handyman several times for all different kinds of projects and as with prior work this project gave us a result we are very happy with. The team is committed to creating good quality work and it shows by the end. While they will work with your budget and style requirements, they also work hard to make sure you end up with something you will be happy with and that will last.
We often find the process of doing these kinds of projects to be bumpy - once the project starts things never go quite as originally envisioned and it's not always a perfect process - but by the end the work is very good and we are happy that we chose Chicago Handyman. I would definitely recommend them to others.

A bit overdue review. We've had Dan in for our second project now, first one involving tearing down a wall to create a walk through, and the second for a shower leak through the kitchen ceiling. He has been extremely fast to respond, and he is on time! I've dealt with contractors in the past who don't even show up for an estimate! In response to a previous poster about one of Dan's sub contractors not showing up; that did happen to me too, and we were not happy about it. However, what deserves a 5 star is the way business was handled. $# happens in life that's beyond our control.
How we handle $# is what defines us. Dan came in himself to finish all the repairs. He stayed till 8, sometimes 9pm, and came in on saturday and Sunday. Thanks Dan for all your effort, especially around the new born!

Dan installed a new Waste King kitchen disposal unit, purchased through Amazon. He notified through text before arrival which was very helpful. Unfortunately, the unit that I purchased did not have the same hook up as the unit to be replaced (needed an outlet). Dan explained everything very clearly and offered a quick solution. When I gave the go-ahead, he promptly purchased the necessary parts at a local hardware store and installed the disposal unit with new outlet in under 30 minutes. Overall, very impressed by his friendliness, honesty, and resourcefulness - not to mention a professional job. I would definitely recommend his services.

I was selling my apt and needed help fixing a ton of random minor repairs. I called chicago handyman, and Dan Shirley the owner sent Thomas -- my literal life saver. Not only did Thomas fix everything I needed (and seriously it ranged from plumbing to carpentry to painting) but he had some great ideas for solutions to tile problems and then did the work perfectly.
I can't say enough! When I need them to come, they come as soon as they can, sometimes the same day. And the price was so affordable. Who needs a man when I have Chicago Handyman;)? a , 5 stars.

I recently just sold my condo in Greek town and needed some repairs done after the inspection. I was referred to Dan by my realtor and I'm always skeptical of any new handyman or contractor, but I was pleasantly surprised. Dan is extremely professional and reliable. He knows how to fix anything! I also felt comfortable having him in my house because he was extremely personable and down to earth. I would recommend him to anyone and I'm sure all of his employees display the same work ethic as Dan!

I just moved into a new home and there were a few odds and ends and one broken garbage disposal that I needed help with. Dan got back to me right away. We spoke on Thursday and he was there the following Monday to help. He accurately estimated the scope of work, picked up the needed materials for the job and was very pleasant. I will definitely have Dan back for any additional needs.

Biggest Fan!. of Handy Man Dan with his Van. Drywall, Carpentry, Glassblocks, tiles, and general remodeling ok my partners and I needed some help with that, but electrical and plumbing OMG what a God send (I refuse to touch that stuff). He's very innovative in creating solutions, he's also amazing with other things like art, deco and sowing things (if u can believe it), AND he builds PRO-Grade Websites AND knows about search optimization that has gotten more than a few businesses off the ground AND flourishing!.

I just bought my first condo and had a bunch of things that needed fixing up. I was worried that I would have to call different people to help me fix different things. A friend recommended that I call Dan and I'm really glad I did! He was familiar with everything that needed to be fixed and worked around my insane schedule to help me out. He's the best! Really friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this company to anyone.

Dan was able to find the parts needed to repair a door in my apt. It was a perfect match and he did an excellent paint job on the trim as well. He was efficient and left no mess to clean up. These guys are the greatest! Not only do they require the skills to get your job done correctly the first time, but as artists, they can offer so much more.
