Home show was the worst ever. And the MECA policy of no cash is ridiculous. So if you don't have a credit card.you don't need to come to any events or the CWS. If. This is the best they can do for a home show please don't bother charging us 10 bucks to park.and 18 bucks to get in.

I own a celebrity home. We began the paper work in May 2018 for our new home, and closed on the home by October 2018. First of all, I want to say that celebrity homes sales group is amazing, and very attentative to details and making sure customers are taken care of. However, I refuse to say the same about the contractors building the homes. I have been having nothing but problems every step of the way. I'm on my 5th work order for the house, that was finished in October of 2018.

I can tell you that this dream house that I have worked so hard for is not what I was promised. Please stay away from Celebrity Homes, this is a big mistake. I'm paying for my mistake and hope none of you will have to go through the same pain that my household is feeling. Issues to date; Basement Leaks Receptacle Leaks Terrible Sod Install Interior Paint Pealing off walls (No kids, me and wife spend maybe 9 hours a day at the house) Exterior Paint never finished (Have submitted Multiple Change Orders) Master Bedroom is 10 degrees colder than the rest of the house Driveway is starting to show rust spots Cabinets are separating from the walls AGAIN, I have only been in this new home for 3.5 months.

We bought/built our Celebrity house in July 2017 and our house has had 3 leaks in 3 different places. One of of the leaks happened 1 month after our one year warranty expired with Celebrity and they would not fix it. The other two leaks have happened more recent. It's disappointing that they would not help to fix leaks on a house they built less than two years ago. A house that is only 1 year old should NOT leak like this!

I usually don't submit reviews unless I feel pretty strongly good or bad and in this case I do. I am a local Realtor and I recently had a very poor experience with Celebrity Homes. Let me start by saying I've done numerous sales with them and have a couple of agents that have been great. My issue is with their corporation and IMO their very poor judgement maybe even poor ethics.

I have a buyer that I had been working with for over a year. We had made numerous offers on existing homes only to keep losing out b/c my buyer needed help with closing costs. Earlier this year I suggested maybe he look at a spec home with Celebrity Homes. He is of Indian descent and did not even know who they were. In March I met with my buyer at a Celebrity model and registered him per their protocol and we along with a Celebrity Agent visited 4 or 5 models.

We eventually signed a contract to have a new home built for my buyer. A short time later I learned I was not going to be able to represent my client and not receive a commission because a month earlier he had unbeknownst to me visited one of their models and they registered him. With my complaint I was dealing directly the head man (Shawn McGuire) at Celebrity and I explained that he was just excited and that he didn't realize that his first visit needed to be with me.

I was eventually told I was out on the deal, argued it several times to no avail. This seems like such an easy decision and I probably would not be so upset except I directed him to Celebrity and I followed their protocol but was being squeezed out over a silly technicality. I can only question their honesty and desire to save some commission otherwise this makes no sense. Anyway I say buyer beware I'm not confident this is a quality company at least not leadership wise. Almost bought a celebrity home. We went in to see the models and really like them, but our realtor was out of town. We were led to believe that our realtor could still be included in all interactions. When our realtor got back into town, we were told that Celebrity could in no way recognize our realtor as a party. We said okay and were willing to independently pay our realtor to help us review the contracts and help us monitor construction.

Celebrity told us even if we did that they would not allow a realtor to help us with contracts or come see the lot to point out possible construction errors. I pointed out that I did not want a celebrity agent representing me, building my home, and monitoring construction because it seemed like a conflict of interest. I was laughed at, told neither I nor my realtor knew what we were talking about, and informed that with the market the way it is Celebrity didn't need us. Pretty terrible customer service experience overall. I can only imagine it gets worse if you're trying to point out construction errors.

Monica Lang is and incredible agent! We purchased our home from her in July. She was super attentive as we watched the construction of our home over a 5-month period. She was quick to respond to our questions/concerns and this woman knows everything. We cant thank her enough for just being an amazing person through this process. Thanks Monica, we love our new home!

At first we were very happy with our home. Now 6 months later, our deck is falling apart and the Broker Shawn McGuire is a total jerk who had the guts to yell at my wife. Completely disrespectful and doesn't care to honor the warranty on the poor construction of our home. Don't buy a home from them! We won't build our next house with them!
