B & D Electric

We've used B&D a couple of times now for some work at our retail store. Recently had a fuse at the meter that went bad. GRU said it was on our side. the guys from B&D were very prompt, respectful and thorough in their repair, even working through not having to shut power to the other stores to fix ours. Will definitely use them again. Very pleased.

Ryan and Jose were our technicians for our job today but this is our third stellar experience with B&D so I finally had to leave a review. The last time B&D came out we had lost power to almost half our house. I was quarantined at home with my two toddlers out of an abundance of caution due to my husband testing positive for Covid (he stayed at another location and we were consistently testing negative).

We ended up losing power in the master bedroom, the kids' bedroom, and part of the kitchen. It was a nightmare. We gave B&D a call and they were able to send out a couple technicians that same afternoon to fix the problem. It turns out that a fuse cartridge was failing and had gotten so bad that the casing was bubbling from the electricity arcing within the fuse box.

They didn't have the right cartridge with them (our 1975 home is a little odd) so they went searching around town to pick up a replacement. One of the technicians stayed behind and was incredibly helpful during the "down time, " answering questions and checking various other issues we had been having around the house. In the end we were able to get all power restored and at a very reasonable cost.

Today they came out for a simple swap, we wanted a light fixture converted into an outlet, and they were so quick, friendly, and efficient at completing the swap. It was so quick and the cost was so reasonable that I regret putting off calling them for as long as I did! So thank you B&D, this house has plenty of electrical work in its future and we will happily continue to give you our business!

I thought I had one circuit problem but it turned out to be two separate problems. The first was an easy fix but the second required a lot of work and expertise. They arrived on time (early in fact) and did their work very professionally. I will use them again anytime. I also liked the communication with their office. The appointment was followed up by a message to my phone with the scheduled appointment. They called before arriving for the appointment.

B&D was able to get to us very quickly while other companies were almost a month wait to even come take a look. The two technicians that came to make repairs were very professional, punctual, and well mannered. They competed the job quickly and cleaned up afterwards. Excellent customer service. Knowledgeable and very friendly, respectful staff across the board. Variety of electrical jobs done from new construction allocation to older wiring investigation and concerns that needed sorted or repaired. It was an "okay " to everything reply. No job was too small or too big of a task to offer their help with. Grateful. Money well spent.

Phillip Taylor and his crew of one performed the annual service on our Generac generator. They were prompt, professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The work was completely satisfactory. At $350 it seemed a little pricey for oil change, plugs and air filter change, but I would not have anything but factory authorized service. That's the price of having a generator.

I would defiantly recommend B&D Electric. Philip was very professional; he and the crew did an excellent job. Great customer service from start to finish. I had very good experience with B&D electric. Philip Taylor and the other guy was on time, very courteous and professional. They installed outdoor electric outlets and installed 2 chandeliers for me and they were very patient to me when I was directing them where to hang it. They make sure that I'm happy where it's going to be. It's always nice to work with people that does not rush you. I highly recommend B&D electric.
