We work on assignments from over one thousand units to as few as 20. We manage the newest city high rises, and pastoral suburban townhomes; from ultra-luxury to affordable housing. The Coolidge at Sudbury is a newly-built "55 and better" community financed with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits. Barkan Management was engaged by the developer, B'nai B'rith Housing New England, to initially provide consulting services and open the community. A second phase comprised of 56 additional units is projected to open in 2019.

We inherited Barkan by our cheap, cheap building owner. Hoping they would perform better than the rebranded owner's management sadly Barkan seems to be cut from the same cloth. Not attentive to the complete needs and maintenance of a property. It is bad enough properties not have evolved to off site management but that allows even less connection to property problems than before. It's a quasi game of hide and seek and really expecting for them to do their job but they don't. Don't judge the book by it's cover.it looks good, presents well but performance is another disappointing, frustrating thing.

Horrible company to ever consider working for. I applied for an HR generalist role in which I am overqualified for and went through the process of 4 interviews in which I was under the impression by the HR Manager that I will likely be hired for the role. I had an interview with the payroll specialist who made discriminative comments about preferring to work with her fellow Latin X cohorts, and then I had a final interview with the CEO, Daniel Bauman who seemed very skeptical and untrusting of my credentials, and even asked me if I had my SHRM-CP as indicated on my LinkedIn profile, I actually pointed it out to him during the interview as we were on a video call.
His questions seemed to be geared towards discouraging me from the role and hinting that he thinks I am not qualified. He also said you will have to get really dirty with recruiting. I was appalled that he would describe recruiting responsibilities in that manner. He came across very bias and prejudice and I would not recommend a company that has so many red flags and clearly are in need of DE&I and discrimination training.

What I'd like to know is why this company allows managers to harass the elderly & yell at them as if they were 20 year olds breaking all kinds of laws when these tenants don't bother anyone & follow rules. The manager doesn't know the word compassion. She has the secretary trained to not give out any information about whom the managers Supervisor is, no name no number, no address.
She rudely puts the person on hold tells the manager & then all of sudden the manager is on the phone pretending like she's the nicest person in the world . Why would you allow this type of treatment to the elderly? You should be ashamed to leave such a hateful person work as a manager at Wood Ridge Homes.

If I could give less than one star I would. This company is new to our condo and thus far they have been entirely impossible to contact and the property manager assigned to our building is the worst! Unprofessional, liars and unaccountable to say the least. I'm hopeful they will not be around long as they have not shown their best thus far. Condo associations please BEWARE! Oh and they have hired a bunch of misfits as our concierge staff.one guy used to work as the custodian, now he's answering phones and taking messages. how RIDICULOUS!

Our condo association tried various management companies, and the last one we had was Barkan. They assign too many properties to each property manager. What ends up happening is that the manager does not have enough time to take care of needs of any property. The people are nice, but they just have too much on their plate.

Horrible property management firm. They managed our association and constantly sent out letters to residents for minor infractions. We believe that more letters were sent to homeowners in a 6 month period than number of homeowners we actually have in the community! The board finally was overwhelmed with complaints and fired Barkan from the management of our community. As a commercial client, I would not recommend them to anyone.
