We couldn't be happier! I called Firebird Sweep and Donna immediately scheduled an appointment with me to meet and discuss options. Upon meeting with her, I was able to choose the correct fireplace that suited our needs, so she arranged an appointment for us with Dan to discuss installation. After meeting with Dan, we knew we were ready to set a date to install.
Within 2 weeks Dan and his staff came, cleaned chimney and completed the job. They were professional, tidy and helpful to answer our questions. I highly recommend Firebird Sweep to anyone that is in need of any Fireplace upgrades, repairs or cleaning.

We used the company for years until we called for our annual cleaning and left a message on their answering machine and we never recieved a call back. A month later we called to make an appointment and were told they are busy? So busy you can't call back your customers to make an appointment? They gave us an appointment for a few days later and told us the price was now $250 for a chimmney cleaning which was $169 for years.
Its a shame what's going on that everyone is making excuses to jack up the prices on consumers and their blaming covid? We cancelled our appointment a day later and found another company to do the same job and they are coming for $99. All these years we were being over charged. Never again.

Unfortunately, Donna showed this exact same behavior while on the phone with my wife earlier this afternoon - losing her temper, getting defensive that we had not left multiple messages, denying that I could have shown up at the store a few days ago and spoke directly with Dan, then finally hanging up with a promise that Firebird will not service our fireplace ever again.
We now have a defective gas unit and damper - both of which had been installed and repaired by Firebird over multiple visits since 2018. They still have the chance to read this feedback and then do the right thing to repair our unit and their reputation. EDIT - this review is due to the unhinged behavior of Donna on Saturday, when she finally returned our numerous prior calls for service.
She ended the call by promising nobody would ever come back to service our unit again and hung up immediately. So, rather than address her berating a repeat customer on the phone, you blame the customer for the problems with the unit you installed. That speaks volumes about your commitment to service.

After a service call I was promised a follow up call concerning issues with my fireplace, which never came. we went to the store where I was told they had no recollection of having to call me for anything. they could not locate the paper work from the in home service I received, and that they had no knowledge of the voice mail I left them. they got totally defensive when I said they were unorganized, and Donna berated me for being nasty and disrespectful.
I was insistent, but always polite. we were promised a return visit to inspect my fireplace again, but not assigned a specific date & time. 2 weeks later I have still not heard back from them. just a bad experience all around. After reading other almost identical reviews. clearly I am not alone. we waited a few weeks for service on our fireplace. we have had recurrent problems turning it on. it's understandable during COVID there was a bit of a wait. the service men came out on the 13th of November. told us it appeared to be a defective piece that burnt out. the service men said they would get back to us by end of day or next day. nobody got back to us. my husband left 3 messages and then I started leaving messages. and then emailed them twice. my husband went in last Thursday. spoke to a man who told him they were extremely busy and their secretary quit.he said he would have someone call and should expect to have someone out in a week or so. about a half hour ago I received a call from Donna.asking what the problem was.
I proceeded to tell her nobody was getting back to us. and my husband went in. she questioned if I was calling the right place. and she told me nobody told my husband the secretary quit. she became unhinged and hung up on me. Clearly some issues going on there.

Renovation of my bathrooms and living room took forever. I had windows in the back of my house that they were supposed to close and apply stucco too. They are high up so I couldn't see. Out there a few years later and lo and behold they didn't stucco over one of the wondows leaving a piece of plywood put there in all kinds of weather for years. Doesn't order any materials beforehand so the job drags on and on and on.
Do not use. None of the work he's done for us has stood the test of time and it's only 5 or 6 years later. We're bogged down with repairs from his shoddy work. Doesn't answer messages.

We had the great pleasure of working with Dan Ragusa - proprietor of The Firebird Sweep, Inc., Donna Lee of DL Design Concepts and the entire team on the design and installation of two beautiful fireplaces in our home. At a later date, we again hired this team to do a complete backyard renovation which included the installation of a deck, a portico and a complete outdoor kitchen area.
We cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had using this company. The design concepts, craftsmanship and attention paid to details were at the optimum level. Called to make an appointment to come into showroom after work. Made the appointment for 5:30 on Wednesday. My husband rushed home so we could get there on time, I dropped kids off at Grandmas so I could concentrate in the store. We get there for 5:30 doors are closed and locked no one is there. I called left a voicemail that I am outside for our 5:30 appointment.
You would think someone would call me back the next day to apologize. Nope. I also called at 4:30 to confirm appointment and no one answered. I figured they were just helping someone else and couldn't get to the phone. That should have been my first clue. We are a working family with kids it takes a lot for us to get out of the house alone and at a certain time. Waste of our time.

We've been with firebird for 27 years. We had an awful experience with "critters" in the chimney and what they left behind. We also had a lot of damage from years of not using the fireplace. The guys from firebird not only explained to me in detail what had happened but answered all questions and put us at ease. From the first phone call to the end result the company was extremely helpful and professional

I would never recommend Firebird Sweep to anyone. They came to clean a chimney that had been leaking in my house. Since ours had never been cleaned they charged us an extra $100 which was understandable. At first, I was told by the tech that I may need a new liner which would be an expensive job. I said okay as I didn't want the chimney leaking and ruining my floors any further.
The tech then told me he cleaned everything and that I did not need a new liner and everything looked good. Within 3 days the chimney was leaking worse than ever. I called back 5x and just got a call back with some serious attitude. IT was by far the worst customer service. It turns out since it is their busy season no one can come back to fix the leak this week but they were more than okay accepting $300 for a job they didn't do properly the week prior. Completely unprofessional.
