The Company was established in 1980 as Larry's Masonry Inc. Dale and Larry were partners for the first year. Larry left and the companies' name was changed in 1981 to Basement Specialists Inc. That means we have been serving the community for over 42 years. We will never be the largest, but we are, and will, remain the best.
We provide the best service in the industry. We will work with you, our customer, to determine what steps need to be taken to repair or reinforce the structure. If needed, we will install a new drain tile system. We will repair the damaged or buckling walls by straightening and reinforcing them. If your wall is crumbling or leaking, this is a problem we can handle as well.
We have a number of different repair methods that are customized to fit your particular problem. If the problem is not severe, the wall can be reinforced with structural steel columns. Most water problems can be corrected by simple routine maintenance. The most important item is keeping the soil around the foundation properly pitched to prevent water from pooling next to the walls.
An independent inspector does NOT have a profit motive to find work. His analysis is more likely to be an accurate assessment of the repairs necessary to solve your problem. I have heard horror stories of excessive work done by contractors that went way beyond what was necessary to solve their foundation problem.

They came out quickly to give me a quote and explained everything that they were going to do to correct the problem. It was less extensive than I thought it was going to be. They were in and out in 1 day and did not leave a mess for me. Could not be happier. Joe was the crew leader and explained to me what work he did and how the problem was corrected. I could not be happier with the out come. Have not had any real bad rains but everything seems to be working the way it should. 5 Stars

The only way I can describe Basement Specialists goes something like this. Integrity and skilled professionalism at it's very best! I've hired Basement Specialists for 2 totally different jobs. First was my home in Greenfield and the other hire was a "No Brainer" when my Mother in law passed away. During a home inspection we found out we needed a total excavation on two walls with beam reinforcement on both, along with complete drain tile replacement.
Both homes we're repaired and finished in the time-frame Dale estimated. His crew was top notch, courteous and obviously enjoyed what they did. Which shined thru by the excellent work they did. Their clean-up was incredible. If it wasn't for the fresh dirt and gravel around the exterior of both houses, you would have never known they were there. I'd strongly recommend to anyone looking to have a basement repaired give Dale Dobbe (owner of B.S.) a call.

They came over for an estimate, and ended up talking me out of the work. My hope for what was possible with my basement would have resulted in spending a great deal of money for little benefit. It says a lot about a company when they forgo business in order to lookout for the interest of the customer. I hope I get the chance to send some business his way in the future.

We had problems with a leaky basement after severe thunderstorms. We had Basement Specialists out for an inspection, and Dale provided us with several recommendations to improve drainage outside the house. After following his recommendations, the basement leaks disappeared. Because no basement repair was needed, he didn't charge us for his assessment. Needless to say, I was very impressed and would recommend this company to others.

We have used Basement specialists a couple of times. They have been simply wonderful to work with. To start with, the office is responsive, and they were easy to schedule with. Dale showed up promptly, and then, on both occasions, gave us very thorough assessments of the problems, and well-thought out solutions. He is honest, straightforward, and extremely experienced. We are so pleased with the results from our basement repair. The workers were great, they explained everything that was going on and they were very skilled. We had to have major work done, A few years ago when it rained so hard the water rushed toward our house and cracked our foundation. Our front porch cracked away from the house and water came in like a hose.
The entire front of our house was compromised. Dale gave us options and came up with a great solution to push the walls straight and seal the basement. We had other companies quote the job and their solutions seemed strange. They wanted to dig a trench inside the house for the rain to go. They did not seem to want to fix the problem but put a band aid on it. Basement Specialist's even found a problem after they started with the way water flowed toward our house. They dug a new sump pump in the problem area and our basement is dry and we finally can replace the ripped up flooring and get back to normal. Thanks Basement Specialists!
