Pilot Construction, Inc. was incorporated in 1992 by Robert and William Richard. Both came from educations and work experience giving them unique insights into running and growing Pilot Construction, Inc. into the multi-million dollar corporation that it is today. Our list of references and frequency of repeat business we get speaks to our commitment to quality, value and timely work.
Over our many years of successfully completing projects, Pilot Construction, Inc. has mastered the steps necessary for successful project completion. Below are the 6 steps we use to make sure that every project is one we can be proud of. Starting with your "napkin" drawings, Pilot Construction, Inc. develops realistic pricing to help guide the rest of the process.
Pilot's continued success is based on a level of trust that budgets delivered can be maintained throughout the process, and confidence that the final contract amount will be competitive in the marketplace. The process typically begins when a client comes to Pilot with a "back of a napkin sketch" of a project they are considering (or an offering sent to them on an approved project, from a realtor, or other sources), and ask us if it makes sense to proceed.Within a few days we can prepare a preliminary estimate, so they can make an informed decision to move forward, or walk away.
Pilot Construction, Inc. contracts most all of our work on the AIA A101 & A201 Stipulated Sum Agreement. Over the years, we have found these agreements to be the most straight forward, un-cluttered ways to spell out the cost, scope and responsibilities of the project. Pilot Construction, Inc. does not enter into CM or GMP contracts as in our opinion these are structured for contractors that are practiced and focused on billing; we prefer to focus our energies building. With the submission of our invoices on the AIA G702/G703 forms, Owners and their lenders have detailed break-downs to track the cost and completion of the project; building by building, trade by trade.
