I am really not one to write bad reviews ever. But, I am fed up with the lack of communication, lack of effort to complete repairs, lack of caring about the VERY overgrown lots (which are home to tons of nasty critters), and finally the lack of quality in repairs. From start to finish in the building process through the first year repairs the communication has been completely absent.

I would setup dates and time for the repairs and no one would show up. But, then would show up on another day that no one was home. I received nothing but attitude from everyone from day one. I am a very passive, caring, and respectful person, but I didn't get that respect back from any of the people at Goodwyn. I have asked more times than I can count to have the empty lots cut so that the critters can be kept away, but they have never been cut (we've lived in our home almost two years now).

The lot is completely overgrown that the weeds/grass/small trees are almost as tall as my house. The critters living in the overgrown lots are a health hazard! Those critters are making their way into our home and the surrounding homes as well. We pay for professional pest control and add our own pest control and it is a battle. It is unacceptable and extremely rude to tell me that it is not their problem to maintain those lots. It most definitely is their responsibly to maintain those lots. It saddens me to write this review but I feel strongly about letting others know about our experience.

Critical: Quality Do not buy a home if the builder is George Goodwin. Our house is less than 6 years old we have had 5 separate water leaks. Almost every house on our street has had the same issue.

First time home buyer and they worked with me to make sure that purchasing my first home was an easy process as well as my realtor. I'm loving my new home! Thanks Goodwyn Also, Phillip is good a responding to any of my concerns or questions that I may have. I would Highly Recommend this company.

High quality work, trustworthy, and very responsive. I would recommend Goodwyn Building to anyone looking for a home! They take time to explain the features of the home and guide you through the purchasing process which was very helpful to us as new homeowners.

I had an excellent experience working with Goodwyn Building to build a home in Montgomery. I don't have a lot of free time and wanted a home I could escape to after long days at work. I was able to find that home in a quiet neighborhood thanks to Goodwyn. They had a great variety of home layouts and various neighborhoods throughout the area, which made it easy to find the right combination.

The home was built well with great quality materials. The only major complaint I have is the finish of the paint used (specifically the finish). While the color is wonderful, it is flat paint that marks up really easily. That means that you can easily touch up small areas without having to do the entire wall, but you will need to be prepared to redo the rooms within a year, especially if you have children. But, if you are building a home, just about all builders use flat paint instead of semi-gloss or satin paint. Nevertheless, the entire experience was wonderful, and they were very accommodating from start to finish.

I had to do the entire process long distance and never got to meet with them until I arrived for closing, but they walked me through the entire process as if I were right there with them. All documents and samples were sent to me electronically and through the mail with little to no delay. I wish I could use Goodwyn Building to build my next home when I am forced to move again to another region of the US. You will not be disappointed by the overall quality of the home and the level of service provided.

Goodwyn Building Co. Provided EXCELLENT Customer Services! They cared about my likes. George is very thorough, walked me thru the entire house to ensure I knew how to work everything including the addict. Quality build, nice fixtures.

Goodwyn Building has been a blessing to me this past year. I was able to build my first home with them and they made the process so easy. With me not understanding ANY of the process on building a home Philip and his crew walked me through every aspect of my new home. Philip helped me understand all my blueprints and what everything meant. If I had any changes he was happy to accommodate.

He kept me up to date every week on what was taking place and what was coming for the next week. I was able to visit the home at any time and he answered EVERY question I had in detail. When I moved into my home I still had questions and a small vent issue that was addressed in a timely matter and Philip was still there to assist me. I highly recommend Goodwyn Building for all your home building needs. They are the best in quality, friendliness and professionalism.

When I started looking to buy a new home I searched the communities that Goodwyn Building was developing. It only took a couple weeks for me to know that I wanted them to build my home. They are very easy to work with and met every need I could come up with. The efficiency and quality of my home is more than I could've imagined and I didn't have to break the bank to get it!

Moved into our home about 15 months ago. Building our home being 900 miles away proved to be a challenge with a lot of emails and phone calls. Phil was a tremendous help and we kept him busy arranging for the items we had purchased on line and having them picked up. Any items or problems we have had in the first year were corrected to our satisfaction.

The installation of the house has been great in keeping our electric bill reasonable and I think this a great plus with their homes. Wish we knew and had the option to install installation for the garage area and attic. With the summers here, it makes these areas unbearable for the summer months. We are in our 70's and do not plan any new home in the future, but if we did, we would have Goodwyn as our builders.

You can not go wrong with Goodwyn Builders! They are very professional, helpful, and always go above and beyond to help its clients and customers. As a busy realtor it is a joy to sell a Goodwyn Home as they make the process so very easy. They build quality homes in a very attractive price range!
