Dunn Construction We built our company on a commitment to quality. Which means more than just doing the job right. It means managing the job right. A sister company, Dunn Roadbuilders, serving the East Central and Southeast sections of Mississippi.
Services
Originally a railroad construction company, The Dunn Brothers Construction Company was founded in Virginia in 1878 by Evans and Thomas Dunn. Today Dunn Construction is part of one of the oldest contracting businesses in America. In the early 1900s Dunn moved its headquarters to Birmingham - where the company undertook the construction of a tunnel through Red Mountain nearly half a mile long.
Dunn Construction is a place where good people do good work. Where, to quote Crew Superintendent Shane Watson (who started with Dunn working a shovel), "The sky is the limit." And where respect is shared and genuine. Finally, Dunn Construction is a proud citizen of Birmingham, where community service (corporate and individual) is encouraged and common.
Below are a few of our notable recent projects. For a more comprehensive list of projects and customers, past and present, please contact us directly. To request an estimate on your next job, please call Evans Dunn at (205) 510-0256-or email edunn@dunnconstruction.com.
Dunn has long maintained a proactive "green strategy"; particularly in our broad use of recycled products (ranging from reclaimed asphalt and roofing to steel foundry sand and slag) in the production of new asphalt. We conducted the first Warm Mix asphalt test section for ALDOT. And we routinely use Cold Mix asphalt.

I don't know who they've got driving their vehicles all over town with their business name clearly on the side of the truck, but I just about wrecked 3 times on 280 trying to keep one of their trucks from rear ending me. Saw them doing this to multiple vehicles-riding their bumper so close I'm amazed it wasn't attached. Maybe don't be complete a-holes when driving and you'll earn some business?

Critical: Professionalism, Quality Was driving by one of their sites earlier today, and for some reason the employees of this company kept pointing at me and laughing. I'm not sure what I did to deserve that, but it was very insulting. This company needs to learn a thing or two about ethics and how to conduct themselves in a proper manner when dealing with the public.
