As general contractors, Construction Managers and Design-Builders, we build public and private institutions, infrastructure and more using skilled labor and construction equipment to complete projects on time and within budget. Since 1906 we have planned and built a diverse set of construction projects including buildings, roads & bridges, water treatment plants, utilities and more with a solid reputation among our clientele and the sub-contract community.
With a Corporate Office located in the Northwest Illinois suburb of Elgin and a Southeast Regional Office in Marietta, Georgia, our project diversity creates a synergy of knowledge, problem solving, and service that builds excellent projects and experiences for our clientele.

Services
In 1906, Carl J. Seagren, William Kallasch, Stanley White and Harry Leach organized and incorporated the Illinois Hydraulic Stone and Construction Company. Initially the company manufactured concrete blocks compressed by hydraulic pressure. Concrete blocks were phased out beginning in 1913 when road paving became their primary business.
At IHC we are as flexible in how we deliver construction services as we are diverse in what we build. In any format we are prepared to help our clients, public and private, get the quality product they want for the price they can afford. We build strategic partnerships when it's logical under all delivery models.
Our project team provides a solid management approach with over 3 decades of building expertise. Our Construction Management team offers project management services to the public building sector, with concentration in educational, institutional, healthcare and municipal construction. Through value added engineering, we monitor cost effectiveness while maintaining strict construction schedules.
