Terrible customer service! I'm a licensed contractor, and I've got to say this is a very poorly run business. Their prices on tools, hardware, materials, and stone cutting blade aren't any better than other places around SE Portland; the warehouse is extremely slow (even when you're the only one waiting to be helped) and they don't help you load. Worst of all, when they sell you faulty merchandise, they do not stand behind their product. Instead they come up with excuses, and refuse fulfill the warranty they sold it with. My advice? Buy elsewhere.

I found this business through my concrete contractor. They serve masons and contractor professionals. You really shouldn't be shopping there without a pickup, and a CCB license. I've done it, but you will definitely get some funny looks. Have a contractor name to drop if they question you. "Oh, I'm picking it up for XYZ." Arrive in your dirty Carhartts, work boots and trucker hat.
Go to the office and request your item. I've gotten graded silica sand for mixing with plaster and bio-bags, orange mesh 1 foot by 3 bags filled with wood chips that keep construction mud out of sewers. On some projects, if you don't use Masco's erosion control supplies, you can get into big trouble with the City, and rightly. They have tons of concrete supplies including tools and concrete sealer in 5 gallon quantity on up.
Like pro places, some things are brought from the warehouse on the West side of 12th by forklift. Others are picked up in the drive through building East of 12th - the office will tell you. They give you a pick up receipt you give to the proper warehouse. Be sure you have some work gloves handy. Specialized spot, contractor-style customer service, not retail-style. That's OK!
