Morrell Builders Commercial

In my opinion, Morrell Builders might be slightly better than Ryan Homes but not even close to custom home builders such as Woodstone Homes or ketmar development. I've been in several homes built by Morrell Builders and was not impressed with their construction quality. Additionally, they make all their home buyers purchase commodities like kitchens, floors, and lighting from Inde, a company they own to complete your home.

Competition drives price, and other builders offer multiple independent suppliers, providing a better resource for selecting products at better pricing. Some premier builders stopped building because of the inflated costs but not Morrell builders, who, in my opinion, are capitalizing on this housing bubble at the expense of the consumers. When the material cost stabilizes a year or two from now, your resale value will plummet on these homes.

We love our new Morrell town home at Lakewood! It was built from January-November, 2021, a challenging time with labor shortages and supply chain delays. We were impressed throughout the process with Morrell's creativity and commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. One of the reasons we chose Morrell was their willingness to customize many aspects of the base design, even complex items like the staircase.

We have been very happy with the results. We appreciated weekly updates from our great project manager, Greer Leva, and his willingness to take time to show us the progress when we requested. Working with their affiliated Inde Design Center to make so many choices was wonderful. The designers were knowledgeable and patient, and a pleasure to work with.

Without this one-stop shop where COVID safety protocols were observed, we would have felt very uncomfortable doing this in the pre-vaccination pandemic period. Although we would have preferred fewer "punch list" items at closing, we have been very impressed with Morrell's dedication to resolving remaining issues. They don't get defensive or argue, they just seem happy to fix it!

Everyone we have worked with has had a remarkable work ethic, positive "can do" attitude, and enthusiasm for solving problems and exceeding expectations. This is a first-class company and we are happy to recommend them highly.

We contracted for a new build townhome with Morrell Construction. We were anticipating many delays and compromises due to Covid. However, we were really surprised with the relative ease of the whole process. We were able to choose many of the interior finishes with the Inde Studio designers' help. They were very helpful in facilitating our choices that reflect our style and were clear about costs and upgrades.

Most of the timelines for each phase were met as described from the beginning. The project manager kept in weekly contact with progress and project information. He was knowledgable about the entire process and able to answer our questions with clarity. We were impressed with the transparency and professionalism of each contractor and staff person. The quality of the workmanship makes our new home comfortable and beautiful.

I'd like to point out everything you need to know about this company. They only respond to the positive comments but couldn't care about the negative comments. We have been in the house a little over two years and have had SO MANY problems. Some have been corrected but those were just the small problems. The bigger problems they ignore or say "we'll help" and then disappear.

Still waiting and they don't care. Once they get your money they are done with you! STAY AWAY, RUN AWAY! Update: They are the worst and won't help but on a positive note my review has had so many views! I'm hoping it made one person go to another builder and if that's the case I'm happy! Second Update: Over 500 views now! Keep it going. They know who I am and won't do anything to help us.

They give you lip service and say they'll help and then just disappear. They care more about getting your money than making sure you are happy. Please stay away from this company! Go to Spall or any other builder in Rochester. If they ever came out of their office and helped us I would immediately update this review to make sure everyone knew about it but I have a better chance of seeing 90 degree weather in January.

Absolutely the most dishonest builder in the Rochester/ Fingerlakes area. They use the lowest bid for their subcontractors regardless of the quality of work. And forget about it if you disagree with something that's a problem in construction because they are never wrong. They don't even know how to frame out for a fireplace. I have a wall inside a wall in our great room.

They never came to our 1 year or 11 month warranty meeting. They of course blamed it on the world of covid. All they care about is collecting money from their customers instead of building quality homes. If I had to guess the owners(Scott and Jeff) don't get their hands dirty and more than likely dont know how to even swing a hammer! 1 hand or 2!

My family's experience with this builder has been nothing but a nightmare from Day 1 and we aren't even a year in yet as we closed on the house in February of 2020. It might be a so called "family" owned business, but that is the last thing that they stand by. It is a SAD day when you are still having to do repairs after moving into your newly built "dream home".

I could write a book about the problems with this house, but the biggest thing about these "builders" is they have zero professional morality. From leaking and moldy windows, dripping paint to cracked door frames the problems just keep multiplying. My parents have had to fight tooth and nail for everything in the house even after a lot of the items are under warranty.

Quite obviously another thing that they do NOT stand by. Responses from builders are not in a timely manner if they respond at all. My assumption is they are just waiting for the warranty on the house to expire-please correct me if I am wrong. People work hard for their money and when they purchase a half a million dollar house they expect it to look as such.

To say we are disappointed is an understatement and you have no idea the amount of grief this company has caused our family both physically and mentally. I will NOT be building my future home with this builder. Ask us before you build as we will be HONEST!

We have lived in Silverton Glenn since 2016. We relocated and throughout the build process had excellent communication through Builder Trend and the staff. Our patio home is gorgeous and the end product was very well done. There are challenges with every project - but they were met promptly, efficiently and with good results. There are options with every property built to suite one's needs-just ask!

Our house has become a home- and our neighborhood is especially friendly. What more could we ask for? Truly a professional relationship with Morrell - we are so pleased that when the time comes to downsize to a townhouse- we hope to stay in SG.

Im very happy to say that my experience with Morrell has been wonderful. I have a Townhome in Lakewood (Canandaigua) I was on a very tight schedule for closing and Mark made it happen! I have not had ANY major issues at all and any of the little things that always happen during building have been addressed promptly and to my COMPLETE SATISFACTION. My Morrell home is my 4th build (in both Rochester and Buffalo areas) and I'm happy to say one of the very best.

Our experience with Morrell Builders was wonderful. From the very beginning, they were accommodating. We were given plenty of time to make our decision to move, and worked with us as to a deadline that would work for us. Mark Bell was new at the time, but he was very professional. We met with him on a regular basis and he took care of any and all concerns in a timely manor. We were very impressed with the quality of workmanship. I would recommend them to anyone who was looking to build.

Dale and I absolutely love our new home in Lakewood Meadows, Canandaigua! Morrell Builders commitment to quality is evident in every room. Although we were initially concerned that it would be difficult to oversee the building of our new home from 300 miles away, the professionals at Morrell made the process almost stress-free. Our project manager, Mark Bell, called us with weekly updates and regularly sent pictures of the progress.

Mark responded quickly and professionally to any concerns. Nothing goes perfectly, but Mark made sure that any needed changes were handled to our satisfaction. Lisa Moore, our liaison to Morrell, was also extremely helpful and professional. Megan Kowacich and Aubre Fox at the Inde Studio were invaluable. They made sure that we were happy with our interior design selections and helped us to stay within our budget.

We truly appreciate the craftsmanship, quality, and design of our new home. We highly recommend Morrell Builders to all who are looking for a wonderful new place to call their own!

OH MY, I truly cannot say ENOUGH fabulous things about this company! My townhouse is beautiful and perfect in every way! Mark Bell is the most professional project manager! We chose Morrell builders to build our dream home to make a long story short, they ruined it! They cut up all my doorway casings and door jambs and then filled them with caulk. They did the same for our fireplace mantel surround. They don't wipe anything down before they paint. They also use flat wall paint bc it's cheap, and hides their mistakes.

Not to mention when you wash your walls the color comes with it! Both the front door and side doors were wrecked during or before installation. All the corners in every window sill are cracked. The huge window unit in the back of our house has been leaking since we built our home in 2/20. The trim around it is ruined with water stains. They refuse to fix it, except to paint over it!

I would never recommend this builder to anyone. They way overcharge, do not stand behind any warranty, will not fix anything, and their communication is extremely poor. To sum Morrell Builders up "once they have your money, the job is finished! You can forget about their so called 1year warranty!" Ask me before you build. I will provide you nothing but the truth!
