The company who preformed an install of a pellet stove (Sun Ray Builders) had an odd incident that I'm still left wondering about. The photo I posted shows one of the technicians (Bill) walking to his truck with the ash pot to my stove that was being serviced, and the green object you see there are my pajama pants. I was sitting at my kitchen counter about 5 feet from my front door when the tech walked by, and just stared blankly wondering why he has my pajama pants in the ash pot of the stove and where he might be going with them.
He offered no explanation and I did not ask as I was home alone and felt very uncomfortable. When everything was completed I called the Fireplace Outlet (who sent this crew) to explain what had happened and asked to have the tech provide a rationale as to why he had my pajamas. I was offered compensation for the pants, which I declined. I wanted to know why, but after over a month of reaching out, the most I have been given for an answer is that the tech was spoken to and was made aware that this behavior was not going to be tolerated. Obviously I'm not satisfied with this response, and still wonder what this man was doing with my pajama pants, and if he took anything else from my laundry pile.

Horrible experience with this company. Had them come out to do a sweep and inspection. The guy tells me "I wouldent burn wood in there" I asked why he said "it's not safe needs alot of work and I would add an insert or pellet" I asked him how we could fix it I wanted to burn. Real wood I was devastated. He said "well I can write u a quote but if I were you I would not do it I would go with a pellet" dident even write on my slip exactly what was wrong so my husband could address it.
I called the next day the woman dident answer as usual. When she called me back it sounded like she just rolled out of bed at noonish. Said she would work on the quote. over 3 thousand dollars to fix. That's fine if it needed to be done. He acted like he dident want to do the job or thought we could not afford it. I dont know what the case was. I called for a second opinion and this guys says I dont need any work done.
It's fine to burn wood. He said if I went with a pellet I would need to do some stuff. Do not reccomend. I paid 125 for no reason they did nothing did not even sweep. As they said it dident need to but the other place reached up and grabbed a ton of leaves out of the damper.
