Leach Construction Company did work on my mother's home from October-December of 2021. The cost was just over $30K. The project that was agreed upon was for tearing down a wall that separates the living room from kitchen to create an open concept interior, moving an entry door at the carport, move cabinets that were on the removed wall to another location, build a kitchen island, install crown molding in living area, kitchen and hall, and paint the whole interior of the home including the ceiling.
The project began on October 19. There was a slight language barrier as my mother is of the Asian descent. In early October, before the project began, I was visiting my mother, so I had the pleasure of meeting with Jon to discuss the project. Beyond that point, I was mediating from another state (via text, email and voice messages) between Jon and his crew and my mother.
At the start of the project, the crew worked quickly to remove/create the entry doorway as well as tear down the interior wall and relocate the cabinets.they did this in 1-2 days. Then it was time to decide on the kitchen island configuration and wall paint color and so that conversation began. This conversation spanned three weeks (November 9). Eventually, my mother decided against the kitchen island.
The remaining work to be done was crown molding, paint and finishing touches. A crew came back on November 23-24 (just before Thanksgiving) to complete the project. After Thanksgiving (November 29) my mother sent pictures of items that showed the project was not complete, so I sent them to Jon for consideration. Jon agreed that these items required correcting and/or completion.
It took the crew three weeks to return (December 19). When they completed the work, my mother submitted the final payment. I visited my mother in April 2022 (April 25), four months after final payment. The entry door, open concept interior and relocation of cabinets looked fantastic. This renovation made the house more open and updated. Jon's crew did a great job on these projects.
The installation of the crown molding and interior paint job is where they fell short.by a long shot. I emailed Jon (no photos attached) with concerns and asked if the standard two coats of paint were applied when they did the job. It didn't look as if this was the case. Pictures below clearly show this. I also questioned the fact that there was no caulking on the crown molding. Lastly, I asked Jon to clarify the definition of the 1 year workmanship warranty that was in the contract as I felt this incomplete work fell under this warranty.
There were items of concern identified in this email. Jon was quick to reply the next day (April 26) and responded that he would review the email and get back with me. I sent a reminder email on April 29. I sent another reminder email on May 3 along with an attached photo of one of my concerns for his review. Today is May 31, 2022, a full five weeks after my initial contact, I have not gotten an answer or reply from Jon. Again, some of the work performed by Jon's crew was outstanding and professional.
Some of the work performed by Jon's crew sloppy and amateur. My mother's home isn't glamorous, but a professionally painted interior can really brighten and beautify a space. The photos speak for themselves. The most disappointing part of this is that Jon has not given an indication that he wants to make it right.

OMG. there is SOOO Much I liked about working w/Jon and his crew at Leach. We met with 8 different companies and individuals about redecking our old deck. In the end. b/c of the great reviews, pricing, timeliness of project completion and also b/c Jon is such a nice guy, we went with Leach. I am so so glad we did. Not only did he come when he said he would and finished in the time he said he would. they worked SOOOO hard to include and double-check things to make sure that our deck would be better, stronger as well as more attractive than before. Jon and his project lead Ray did an amazing job helping up to come up with feasible ideas to make it the best structurally as well as esthetically. Ray was on the phone with me thruout the day sending fotos, asking questions and clarifying/expounding on ideas.
He REALLY listened and made sure that everything was done per specs! This wasn't easy b/c we were asking for a modern/Euro style using horizontal vs vertical boards. which Ray & his team had never done before. But they really worked hard to make it look great! What's more. he did little things we didn't think about or ask for to make it look even better!
Super job! And when I added little thoughts and ideas as the project progressed he was really kind, patient and totally followed thru! Having had completed sooo many projects in our house over the last 20yrs. I KNOW that things can go awry at any moment. There were many points in a project like this where it could have taken a turn. But it didn't! AND MAN does our deck and balcony look awesome! Even better than we had hoped!? Yea me!

Leach Construction did a fantastic job in expanding our deck as well as replacing our current decking with composite. They were able to take our ideas, and really build it out exactly how we wanted. Their quality and John's attention to detail ensured that we ended up with a deck that we love. We will absolutely be using Leach construction for our next home project. This is our second time working with John, and we are very happy with the results.

I originally started my kitchen and 2 bath renovation with another contractor but they did not finish anything they started and actually did more damage to my home than what was already there to begin with. After interviewing multiple companies to fix the original disaster I decided to go with John "Leach construction" and they did not disappoint!
They finished ahead of schedule and the workmanship was above and beyond what I had expected. I am for ever grateful to John and his crew for taking the bad situation I was in and turning into such a memorable experience. I would highly recommend John for any home remodeling needs!

John and his team were professional and reliable. They were patient in working with our questions and changes with out any problem. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was to our standards; they even helped out with tasks (appliance instalation) that were not listed on the contact with out hesitation. They came in early and/or stayed later to finish projects so we can move in as soon as possible. John was a great help in finding us places to shop for matterials which did not hurt our budget or compromised on quality.
