Inspection Plus

John was great! Quick, on time (actually, a little bit early), communicative - and the price wasn't all that bad! I was able to pay online beforehand and received the inspection report within about an hour of the inspection wrapping up. His detailed report really helped us to communicate with the seller the concerns we had about the home - much appreciated, John!

Patrick was precise and thorough with his inspection. I much appreciated his candor and explanations of items that were notable exceptions or potential issues. As a former university facilities manager, I was glad to have an inspector like Patrick doing our home inspection.

After researching local home inspectors I kept seeing great info and reviews for Justin Knox at Inspection Plus. After meeting Justin and going through the house inspection he was great at explaining and showing all the issues he found and other maintenance things needing pointed out. Justin was great and very thorough. Arrived on time, was efficient, and provided very helpful and insightful information. Gave us recommendations and details to help us understand what were key major issues and what were items that didn't require immediate attention. The report was sent to us the same day and aligned completely to everything he told us in person. We super helpful!

Not only was he a professional of the highest caliber delivering top service, but he also cared about me as a client and was very generous with sharing his knowledge about all things to do with the physical and mechanics of housing. He allowed me to walk into the deal with my eyes wide open regarding the condition of the house that I eventually purchased, and there is no price to put on the security of being armed with such knowledge.

To top it all off, he left me with a wide variety of options for referrals for some of the issues he outlined which gave me the ability to proceed with confidence. 10/10 would work with him again.

ONLY home inspection company in Cincinnati able to fit us in within 7 days - in fact they got us in within 48 hours. Prices are very reasonable. Inspectors at the home were very friendly and knowledgeable. Spent time explaining everything to us and answering our questions. Got our report the same day. I was impressed with the level of detail, clarity of pictures, and descriptions in the report. Customer service when you call the office is also great!

We had them inspect the house we were buying back in May - by June, we had a full lawsuit on our hands because the addition on the house, the bathroom, is literally falling off the house. the floor is being held up by a rotted 'deck' and you can touch straight through the crawl space underneath to the tile of the shower. How does this pass inspection?

Now we're having to go through layers, lawsuits and a lot of money, when if it was caught in the inspection, we wouldn't have bought the house with over $30,000 of issues because of this addition.

My daughter called them to perform an inspection on a home they were considering purchasing. The report essentially made you think this property was going to collapse at any moment and anything that could be wrong, was wrong. My daughter, after reviewing the report backed out of the deal. 2 days later a friend of hers purchased the home, who was actually a structural engineer, and deemed that most of the doom and gloom in the inspection plus report was flat out incorrect.

I understand they are paid to find problems, but not to embellish them. My daughter missed on a house she truly loved, listening to someone she paid to perform professionally

Patrick did a thorough inspection. He was on time and fast to get final report finished and available for us and our realtor. He left no strings untied, we are very satisfied with the price, the inspection and Patricks' willingness to answer questions. Highly recommend to others!

Not thorough. Used a different inspector a couple weeks earlier on a different home but he was booked and these guys cost less. The difference was night and day. I Was surprised by how quick the inspection seemed to take. I didn't think I was expecting much, but somehow got less than that. A lot of basic items were overlooked. I could have came out myself and spent a few hours and caught more than what we got in our report. The guy was nice, but using these folks ended up costing us in unnecessary repairs we could have put back on the seller.

A few months ago, Patrick was the inspector for my house (for the buyer) when I was selling. He was so professional and friendly that I called his company to hire him to inspect the house that we are planning on buying in a few months. Yesterday, he was scheduled to inspect our new potential house. He arrived several minutes early, and was very patient, kind, and even worked well with my husband- explaining each and every issue that he could see. Patrick's inspection was at 1:00 and the report was emailed to me that night.

When I say report, you should *see* this masterpiece! It is so detailed; a THIRTY-TWO page document! I would request this company and this inspector to anyone who asked. I have now worked with them on both sides of real estate- buying and selling- and have been very pleased. -Laura Sebastian

I contacted them after a referral from our realtor. Their website had a lot of recommendations and accolades, which gave me more confidence in the service I would get. I had my initial inspection done in Feb right after the first snow storm. The inspector, Patrick Naughton, said he would come back out when the snow was melted to inspect the roof, the deck, and the HVAC--3 major things.

He came back a week later and only inspected the roof. I called him 2x and left messages, emailed him 2x, even called and emailed the main office to complain that I had paid over $500 for a complete inspection and 2 major elements were not inspected--especially because I voiced concern over both before the inspection even started. I haven't had a reply in almost a week from anyone.

If you want good customer service and follow up, especially if you're paying that much money, find another home inspector. I would never pay this much for a company to half a** a job.

Very satisfied with the company! Patrick (home inspector) came right on time and during the inspection he was updating me about all the issues and all the things it believes I need to repair. very knowledgeable and friendly. Inspection Plus is not the company you want to hire to inspect a house you're selling or one that you're buying. Patrick Naughton was the inspector. He left lights on, ceiling fans on, 2nd floor attic was open, empty soda can in the front yard, dragged dirt through the house (on the newly installed carpeting). I called and left four message at the company.

No response. I finally found someone and asked her to have the owner call me (John Cordell). He never bothered. Finally, the inspector, Patrick Naughton, called and promised to come close the attic and address the dirt on the brand new carpeting. We set a time for the following Sunday. But, I never heard from him again. Not to this day. He blamed the issues on other people that he let roam the house while he was doing his inspection. WHAT?

Why were others allowed in the house without his supervision? I called and left another message for the owner, John Cordell. But, again.he didn't bother to return the call. My next call will be to the Amiercan Society of Home Inspectors. One more thing. Patrick Naughton was so derelict in his duties that he didn't even write down the correct address of the house on the report! The house number was wrong, the street name was wrong and the zip code was wrong. Sloppy. DO NOT HIRE INSPECTION PLUS to do an inspection of your house!
