The ABL Group was my first design internship and the start to my design career. They are passionate, hard working, and experts at what they do! From window treatments to full kitchen remodels, they will not disappoint!

The ABL Group is a small group of super creative and talented designers. I love working with these folks for any interior design needs for they are so helpful, talented and professional. They have everything right there in their design shop to choose fabrics, custom countertops, hardware, cabinetry, and anything else you need in making renovations in your home. Highly recommend checking them out.

We hired ABL to do a large project - complete kitchen redesign, family room expansion and kitchen gut/remodel. The entire ABL team exceeded our expectations in every way! From the design phase down to the last coat of paint, they were patient, knowledgeable, creative, enthusiastic, communicative, transparent, on time and on budget. If we raised any concern, no matter how minor, it was addressed.

If they thought we were making a wrong decision, they steered us in the right direction. They seamlessly brought our vision to life. The results are stunning - couldn't be happier. This is a group that is clearly dedicated to and passionate about their craft. Can't wait to work with them on the next project!

We've worked with ABL on many projects over the past 20 years, and they are amazing. They've completed numerous painting and construction jobs for us, and they are absolute masters - the highest quality work with exceptionally professional, reliable and pleasant teams. Most recently, they completed a complete refresh of our kitchen - painted cabinets, new backsplash and hardware, and miscellaneous other work. It's absolutely perfect - we couldn't be happier! ABL finished painting our kitchen yesterday and all was completed in a very professional manner. From the first call to Howard coming over to review our project. Jose, Juan and David did all that could be asked for from start to finish. Have other painting projects on my list for next year and ABL will be the company to complete them. Would highly recommend.

ABL repaired the drywall of our bedroom walls, cathedral ceiling and stairwell. They installed new baseboard and a ceiling fan. Painted the ceilings and walls. I had my bathroom remodeled with ABL group. From start to finish, project was completely flawlessly. The contractor kept me updated consistently and the work done was excellent. Definitely recommend them.

We worked with Howard and his team about 9 years ago and to this day we look at the work and regret our decision! Many issues that were supposedly taken care of have come to light over time and after our warranty of work expired. Over promised and under delivered. Many lessons learned, but will never again hire someone who bills hourly and will spend much more time on site to make sure the job is completed correctly so it doesn't have to be redone.

Such a great experience from start to finish. Howard and his team did an AMAZING job painting our preschool. As you can imagine, the walls at the school take a lot of wear and tear and after his team was finished, it was as if it was BRAND new. They were also able to work with both our timeline and around school hours. Will definitely work with ABL again on our next project.

The quality of work that The ABL Group does is beyond all expectations. They were very polite, efficient, and were an absolute pleasure to work with. My mom and I found the ABL group through a recommendation last summer. After meeting their wonderful team, we hired them to renovate my mom's new house in Chicago. From the planning to the physical work, ABL's staff and associates were professional and talented. Not only was the workmanship excellent, but Michelle, Jennifer and George were able to help us figure out several difficult requests.

In particular, the project manager Brian and his associate Ralph (along with all of their wonderful assistants) were incredible. They were always transparent and kind besides being extremely knowledgeable. Even after my mom moved in, Brian and Ralph continued to stop by to install things that were delayed by the manufacturers (due to Covid) and make adjustments. Their professionalism and kindness made a difficult move much smoother.

I didn't end up working with them for several reasons: 1) There was a LOT of back-and-forth with the customer service representatives to get estimates. First this person was a meeting. Then the next one was on break. Then the next one had to wait to hear back from a third one. The process needs to be more seamless to get an estimate. 2) I REALLY did not want to hire a painting company that hadn't seen our doors in person. I'm not opposed to digital photographs to create estimates, but the other painters who came out and saw what was going on with the aluminum doors significantly changed their prices.

I didn't want any surprises after the fact. Because I wanted to see their estimate on deck work, I figured we could do a two-for-one. 3) No matter what I asked, the guy who came out here had a passive aggressive answer that dismissed my question: "Let the pros worry about it." "Don't you worry about it. We'll figure it out." "You don't need to know that." After the third time, I finally told him, "Look, I'm in charge of paying for this service, so I need you to tell me what you're going to do for this particular service." He FINALLY decided to talk to me like a human being and told me potential solutions for paint and deck work.

We ended up hiring a different set of painters and a different set of deck repair people (the latter of which are doing a phenomenal job, by the way). But I'm leaving this review to let the reps know that this could've been so easily avoidable. I was about 95% sure I was going to hire this company instead, until I got the service I got for numbers 1 and 3.

I definitely do not regret who I ended up hiring, so I guess this was a lucky accident. Still though, when customers are curious about what they're paying for, it's not too much to ask to just answer the question.

ABL Group does amazing work! I have used them for a couple of different jobs. They are very professional. Howard arrived on site both times, to discuss what work they would do and the time frame it generally would take. On the actual day the crew came out, they were very efficient with the work that they did. They cleaned up after they were all finished.

The price for the different jobs I had them do was very reasonable. I'd recommend them to anyone that needs some carpentry work or painting done. I plan on using their services again when a new project arises.

Amazing job on exterior and interior painting and repair! They were fast, precise and friendly. Would highly recommend and will use again!

We used ABL to paint the interior of our house. They did a great job and I would definitely recommend them. It was a big job: removing wallpaper, lots of trim, windows, etc. They were on-time, stayed on quote, clean, and the end result is beautiful. The supervisor, Billy, and lead on the project, Marco, were responsive and great to work with.

ABL did an excellent job updating our family room wet bar (new counter top, faucet, tile) and powder room (wallpaper, painting, electrical fixtures and faucet). The workman were very neat and thorough in their work. They were easy to work with and it was a pleasure having them in our home. We were very pleased with everything! Thank you!

Abl group just finished our hardwood floors. I am EXTREMELY disappointed to say the least. The owner came over to give us an estimate in May. We wanted to get the floors finished in order to get our house on the market ASAP. With a lot of back and forth, they finally scheduled us for the 4th of July. This was after many phone calls to try to get on the schedule, even after paying a down payment.

I don't understand why it was so hard to give us a set in stone date, but apparently it was. We didn't know they were actually going to show up for sure until 2 days before. To say the least, we were extremely frustrated. I left town with my 3 month old baby and my 3 dogs in order to give them the time they needed to do our floors. I thought it would be straight foreword. but no.

They just didn't do part of the floor! Seriously, they just STOPPED staining the floor because (according to the owner) "they thought it would blend in". So this morning they came to finish it. I had to leave with my baby and my dogs AGAIN for 4 hours for them to come and finish. In 90 degree heat. And it only looks OK. I am mad and very disappointed. I do not recommend ABL group, at least for wood floors. And the part they just finished still looks blotchy.

We were referred to Howard and team at the ABL Group when we bought our "new to us" house which was built in 1912. We needed some work done quickly before we moved in. Howard and the team delivered a high quality product on schedule on budget and with the utmost professionalism. In fact, we were so happy with the work that they were doing, we expanded the scope of their work as they were doing it. We cannot recommend Howard and the ABL Group enough!

Wallpaper/Paint/Electrical - 2016 and 2019. I had priced getting the various jobs done through my own contacts and referrals. I struggled with getting the work done in a timely and orderly manner and ABL solved this problem by getting the right contracts in place so it was a seamless job. I found their pricing to be competitive too without having the manage the process.

They have fantastic professionals, very neat and competent. I have since had some paint and patch work done on my ceilings and moldings and some additional electrical work and again, was very impressed with the quality of work and the price. They are my easy button and a pleasure to work with!

Our first experience with ABL. excellent service, on time and on budget. Would use again for any future jobs. Highly recommended!

ABL did a great job on our living room, repairing water damage around our bay window and painting the whole room. I was impressed by the skillfulness and professionalism of the crew. They showed up everyday at the same time, worked efficiently, and were respectful of the noise as I was home with a baby at the time. Very good first impression of their work and I will be using them again!

Howard and the ABL Group took amazing care of our new home. Not only were his prices extremely reasonable, but he handled everything. They took care of staining our floors, painting the walls, redoing our kitchen, and even plumbing and handy man work. Howard was also very good at answering our questions and walking us through the process. Howard took care of us, and he was essential in making our new house feel like a home. We're still using Howard and ABL for follow on work, and I would highly recommend him to anyone else.

Amazing! We have had no improvements to our home since we moved in 13.5 years ago and the house was definitely showing wear & tear. Howard, owner, came out initially to go over everything we wanted and provide a quote. I had originally wanted to have wainscoting installed. Howard pointed out that with the amount of furniture we had, we might want to go with just a chair rail and white paint below as the wainscoting would be mostly hidden and not worth the money.

I appreciated that insight and did go without the wainscoting, which was the right decision in the end. Point being, he will give you honest opinions on the work you are requesting. He also has a very experienced eye and will point out things that should be repaired. Once we signed the contract, Howard had a design consultant come out to help us pick paint colors and design the built ins we wanted.

This was really nice to have some guidance in this area instead of just winging it. Howard was accommodating as well with the timing of the work as we wanted to have most of it completed while our child was away at camp. He got his crew in there and they finished 95% of the work in the 2 week window that my son was out of town. The employees were all very professional, prompt, neat, and friendly.

The quality of the completed work is top of the line. I can't begin to say how incredibly pleased I am with the end result. I feel as though I live in a brand new house! Description of work: First floor - repair large hole & water damage in ceiling; repaint ceiling, walls & baseboards; install crown molding and chair rail. Build & install 2 custom builtin bookcases.

Second floor - replace carpet; repaint ceiling, walls, woodwork. Outside - replace entry door to garage; replace boards/steps/posts on deck which had rotted; paint front door; install gutter on garage Other various handyman items as well.

I do not hesitate to recommend ABL any chance I get. We had a huge kitchen remodel that involved taking down a wall, putting a doorway in a load bearing wall and even having to bolster up the second floor (a part was sagging). ABL was super professional through the entire process and completely responsive to every phone call we made. They worked very well with our designer and all the third party suppliers.

Much of this was not always easy. The project got out of hand and ended up spreading throughout the entire first floor. ABL flowed with the changes and never blinked an eye. Since completion we have had few things that needed to tended to and we continue to get the same professional attentiveness we had when we were in full construction mode. I cannot recommend ABL Group highly enough.

ABL is my new favorite contractor. We used them a couple of years ago to refurbish our basement and we were very happy. ABL workers were completely professional and they showed up EVERY DAY, ready to work a full day until job completion. They are now doing work for my son and daughter-in-law and they sing the same praises as me. What makes me particularly confident in ABL's workmanship and customer service is their extremely adept staff from the receptionist to the project head, to the workers.

They stand behind their workmanship. I had them come back and tweak a few things (more than a year later!) and they did not disappoint. I totally trust this company and will definitely use them again for other projects, big or small.
