The following are a list of the suppliers and showrooms that we have a relationship with and are familiar with their products, their processes, lead times and deliveries. These are only suggestions and we would be happy to work with any supplier or showroom that you choose your materials from. Please be advised that most of these showrooms require an appointment and if we have a contact, I have included their name and/or direct number. Please let your sales associate know you are a Great Additions client and they will create a Selection Sheet which will be sent over to us.
The first step is to establish the needs and goals for your home improvement project. Once we set your goals - we take them to the drafting table. The time it takes to plan your project is as important as the time it takes to actually build it. This is a crucial process which allows us - and you - to eliminate the guesswork and give you an accurate estimate of a budget, time and what you can expect upon completion. Great Additions can also offer architectural and drafting services to assure the accuracy of the project.

Wonderful experience with everything! We were very scared going in with such a large project. Nick and Howie both made everything so much easier than we feared! The process was smooth, manageable, and with no surprises. My wife and I did decide to add some things on our own, but those were the only cost changes. I can't say enough good thing about Great Additions! And our house is GORGEOUS now! Nick design ideas really impressed us!

I contacted Great Additions Construction regarding pricing on a dormer on our home. The salesman that I dealt with name was Nick and he gave me an approximate estimate over the phone. Nick and I then scheduled for him to come by a week later so he can walk my wife and I through everything in person. In the meantime I also received pricing from another company which was significantly lower than Nicks price.
I took a picture of the detailed quote, not including the price, and sent it on a text message to Nick per his request. He continued to bad talk the company I received the price from as well as not believing me on the price I received from the other company. He kept pushing to take a picture of the quote including the price. I told him that made no sense if he doesn't think he can beat it.
He finally convinced me to send the picture and I did. After he received the picture with the pricing attached, he said "we are not a good fit". I was totally thrown off by that and felt that it was extremely unprofessional on his part. I guess you can say this was a blessing in disguise because if this is how they go about with something as easy as giving an estimate, then it must be a nightmare when it comes to the construction.

It was a pleasure working with Great Additions for our full dormer project. Communication and responsiveness was great from the start and throughout. I especially loved the app they use that shows their calendar for the project, everything was always right on schedule. They worked everyday especially during demo and framing, they worked through the weekend.
We met with Howie for the estimate and design phase, and then Mike was our project manager. He always made us feel comfortable and was very easy to get in touch with and discuss any questions or concerns we had. Our house came out beautiful and we are so happy with the work. We now have the biggest house on the block thanks to Great Additions!

A big thank you to Great Additions Construction. Howie, Allison, Michael, Vinnie, etc. are so personable and went above and beyond to make the experience of dormering and redoing our first floor (including a new kitchen, three new baths, floors, paint, molding, windows, siding, etc.) in our house as smooth as possible. We bought our house, and after doing tons of research and meeting with many construction companies, we chose Great Additions to complete the work.
When we went to Great Addition's showroom, it was so easy to see what kind of job would be done. During our selection meeting, Allison spent so much time with us to make sure everything we picked out would fit perfectly. She saved us time and money. We did not have to go to multiple stores/showrooms by having samples of work done and products in their showroom.
Everyone we came in contact with throughout the job was knowledgeable and helpful. After finding out we were expecting our second child, Allison and the Great Additions team made sure our house was done and ready when we brought our new addition home. We really cannot say enough great things about this company, but if you'd like to see before/after pictures and/or have any questions, we would be happy to share. My parents referred me to Howie and his team. They are the best Long Island dormer contractor in my opinion. From the design process to the actual construction, their team of project managers made sure the entire process was smooth, our valuables were always protected and secured during the renovation process. They made adjustments as my wife and I made some changes throughout the project but they did not let that slow them down. I highly recommend Howie and their team to anyone looking for a reputable and trustworthy Dormer & Extension Contractor.
