Custom Building Systems LLC, located in Middleburg, Pennsylvania, began operation in September of 2005 and has grown to become one of the largest modular manufacturers on the East Coast. With two manufacturing facilities located within one mile of each other CBS optimizes the 300,000 square feet of production space by producing over 1,000 living units per year, including multi-family, ranch, cape and two-story homes. In addition to residential homes, CBS produces apartments, dormitories, schools, and other light commercial structures.

I just received my new ranch nome on 12/01/21. In NH. I c/o items missing on Facebook, and some items were installed the following week, however, more needs to be repaired, the kitchen island unit needs one section replaced. The master bathroom doesn't have the sliding drawers needed. The workers claimed they would return in 2weeks to finish repairs. It is now mid March. A light needs to be replaced, another light does not work. The home is paid for through Beans Homes in VT. These repairs need to be done.

Their company is oddly broken into subunits, which seem to not want to communicate with one another. Their websites are ancient and doesn't provide a lot of detail. When inquiring for further information, expect a few weeks for them to get back to you. Then once that happens any local builders have exclusive areas to work in, which means you don't get a say in who you work with.
That I can understand a little, but when everything is done via phone and email is shamed, it's not professional in the least. This seems to be a company stuck in 1983 expecting the world to change around them. So, if you're local, and you have previous experience vetted by another customer, maybe give them a shot. If you're looking for a new home, I highly suggest you look elsewhere.
No part of the initial experience gave me confidence in their ability to actually produce a home, nor their ability to actually work with a homeowner. Use at your own risk. Maybe they're better locally?
