Gerry Richardson and Jim Heasley, 12-year veterans of the post-frame and general construction industry, formed Hanover Pole Building Co. in 1982. Gerry and Jim changed the company name in 1987 to Hanover Building Systems. In 2001, Reb Balzanna took over the construction department when Jim retired.
Post frame construction offers unique advantages in terms of design, construction flexibility and structural efficiency. It is well suited for many commercial, industrial, agricultural, and residential applications. Wood posts function as support columns in an engineered system of strategically integrated wood-framing components, a system that permits construction costs - both time and materials - to be cut in numerous ways.
Building was constructed as sold and as noted per our salesmen, Building was done neat and everything worked as it should. Was constructed as a workshop, and turned out great just like expected. Would recommend Hanover to anyone looking for good building, and They have done a great job for us several times now.
Often it is called post-frame construction. It is when posts, most often 6x6, are used with 2x4 tie-ins instead of stud wall construction. Yes, we offer 5 years on workmanship, while our suppliers offer warranties on their products also. Our mailing address is Hanover Building Systems, P.O. Everyone including office staff was awesome! We waited a long time to build our garage and chose Hanover Building Systems for the quality of their work and they did not disappoint. Everyone who sees it is in aww of the craftsmanship. Great experience, and highly recommend. Trust me you'll be glad you did. DB

I contracted Hanover Buildings System to build a 25' x 50' (shop) pole barn with a 16'x 25' office attached to "shop". From the very beginning, this company was easy to work with and made adjustments to my plans based on budget and county requirements. Their sales rep Ron was the best in the business and I never had a problem getting in touch with him if i had a question or concern.

If he didn't answer a call, I received a call back within hours. Once the project was approved and we had a go, Ron did a fantastic job of keeping me updated on project timeline. The team at Hanover Building systems was polite, professional and trustworthy. I Look forward to my next project with them and would recommend using them for your project.

They built an addition to a Golf Range Building for us at Liberty Forge. Everything was fine. They designed and build the project. Everything was fine except it was done through the Covid period. They worked through the permitting delays, lumber and supplies shortages and everything ended up well done. Thank You Reb, Ron, Rob and Casie.and all their hard working crew. The only reason there wasn't a fifth star given is that I never gave anyone a fifth star!

Called to get a quote, told to fill out form on website. It goes right to sales person Did that. 3 days later crickets. Don't understand companies in today's world. Just think if a company is to lazy or unorganized to reach out to uptain a job. What do you think dealing with them will be?

Very nice people but I was not impressed. We worked with Hanover Building for over a period of 1 year on a commercial addition. We were given an initial estimate at the time of contract. We paid over $21,000 for their Architect and Mechanical engineer to complete our drawings. The drawings were submitted to the County for permitting. After Hanover received bids from their subcontractors we were $120,000 over budget.

The majority of that came from Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC where they failed to have enough budgeted to cover what it would cost to do the build. I then gave them the opportunity to downsize the project and they failed to reply with a new plan. We then went with another contractor to complete projects that were going to be done by Hanover Building Systems.

Very nice people but I believe they may be very good at building garages but Commercial Projects should not be their specialty. Here is my response to your reply The bottom line is that you did not have a good estimate for your trades. I just spoke to Ron about this over the phone. I did give Ron the opportunity to build a garage out back which he failed to ever come back with a number.

That was the revised project. He just apologized for never getting back with me. As far as changes on my end I reduced items that were in the initial estimate making the building smaller. You started at $288,000 revised to $265,000 then ended at $388,000. Dont see how I played a part in that, Your customer communication was lacking but Rob your designer was very nice to work with. You should take a lesson from him he is the only one at HBS that returns phone calls or keeps up with his emails.
